CMC Recycling at 717 E 12th St, Joplin, MO 64801

Everyone working there was really friendly. It was my first time scrapping, and they made me feel welcome and walked me through everything. I really appreciated how patient they were.

We rent a 40-yard dumpster from CMC for our metal shop, and they’ve always treated us right. Call in when the dumpster’s full, and a truck usually shows up within hours. Plus, their rep stops by every now and then to see how we’re doing. Much better than hauling our own scrap like we did before.

The guys working there are great. They do a solid job and get you in and out without any hassle.

The staff there were super helpful and really nice. They’ve got fair prices too, and doing business with them has always been a good experience. I’d tell anyone needing to recycle metal to check them out.

I waited almost an hour just to drop off scrap, and the whole time I watched these guys running the machine like they’d never touched one before. They’d grab one tiny piece of metal at a time with the claw, move it two feet, then stop—like they were playing some weird slow-motion game. The whole pile was going to the same spot anyway. Either they need training or they need to let someone else take over. ---

First time here, and honestly, it was way easier than I expected. The guys at the gate pointed me toward the back, past the double doors, and I just followed what the person ahead of me did. When it was my turn, the guy at the scale walked me through it, then the folks inside gave me the rest of the steps. Simple, no stress—even kind of fun to watch how it all works. ---

After trying every other scrap yard in Joplin over the years, this one’s the best by a mile. Yeah, the pay might not always be the highest, and the place isn’t huge, but they’re fair, and you can unload your own stuff without waiting around. The lot’s usually clean too, except when it gets busy near the piles—then it’s a little messy from people dumping fast. Still worth it, though. ---

Dropped off scrap here, and the whole process was fast and smooth. No waiting, no confusion—just got it done. The staff was friendly too, not the kind of place where you feel like you’re being rushed or ignored. Simple, efficient, and no headaches.

I’ve been coming here off and on for a while now, and the staff is always friendly and actually helpful—no attitude, no hassle. The payouts are solid, and the location’s super easy to get to. What surprised me most? How much random junk around my house is actually worth money. Old pool ladders, broken trampoline parts, even soda cans—it all adds up. Thanks, CMC! (And no, I didn’t get paid to say this—I just had a good experience and wanted to share it.) ---
