Overview

Dan's Auto Salvage - Kingman, Arizona

Dan's Auto Salvage is a self-service junkyard at 2666 S Highway 66 in Kingman, Arizona. Customers remove their own used auto parts from salvaged vehicles, including domestic and import models. The yard is open weekdays and closed weekends. It’s a practical spot for DIY repairs, restomods, or finding uncommon replacement parts without paying new prices.

Services & What to Expect

Dan's Auto Salvage operates on a self-service model. Customers locate, remove, and purchase parts directly from wrecked vehicles. Bought a bunch of parts from Dan’s, hands down the friendliest and most affordable junkyard in Kingman.

They’re closed weekends, so I called ahead a week before to check on a part while calling from my place a couple hours away. Got there Monday ready to pick it up, but they still wanted a deposit before they’d even think about pulling it. Said pulling the part takes five minutes, but they still wouldn’t do it until they got to it. Even asked if they’d ship it, nope. No way I was hanging around for that, so the whole thing felt like a waste of time.

Solid spot to grab auto parts without getting robbed. Tony’s the guy—told him what I needed and it was at the counter before I knew it. Scored a rear diff for my 2004 Tundra last week and it runs like a champ.

Just found this place and it’s great for digging up hard-to-find parts for older builds. I’m working on a 1977 Dodge B200 van for my wife, and they’ve got exactly what I need. This spot definitely knows its stuff when it comes to vintage rides.

Tried calling this place three different times, and not once did anyone pick up. No voicemail, no callback, nothing. Just dead air. Not sure if they’re too busy or just don’t bother, but it’s frustrating when you’re trying to get a simple answer. ---

Needed a part, and these guys didn’t just point me in the right direction—they actually helped me dig through the mess to find it. No attitude, no rushing me out the door. Just straightforward help. Made the whole process a lot easier than it usually is. ---

Honestly, this place is the real deal—no pretenses, just good old-fashioned service. The owner didn’t just help me find what I needed; he actually took the time to chat like we’d known each other for years. The cars they’ve got sitting around? Some of them are straight-up classics, the kind you don’t see every day. I’ve been to a lot of junkyards over the years, but this one’s at the top of my list. Next time I’m out west, I’m stopping by again—no question. ---

Walked in needing something fast, and they didn’t waste my time. Got me taken care of in no time, and the price? Way better than I expected. No haggling, no hidden fees—just a fair deal. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. ---

Skip the other places and just come here first. The guy running the show let me check out the car I needed the part from before he even touched it, and when I asked about the mounting hardware, he just handed it over like it was no big deal. Had my power steering pump and bracket, was out the door in under 30 minutes, and paid a fraction of what those eBay “deals” were asking. No contracts, no nonsense—just a handshake and a fair price. Can’t beat that.
