Jesus got my car picked up fast, and that made the rest of my day way better. The Dorris crew was friendly, professional, and got things done without waiting around. I’d definitely go back and would tell anyone to call them first.

When I first called, the guy greeted me in Spanish right away. I told him I’m not fluent, then asked about a passenger door and hood for my car. His attitude didn’t feel right, like he was brushing me off. When I pressed him on whether those parts come in now and then, he just said no. Really bad customer service. They should have someone who actually speaks English.

Honestly, this place is the best junkyard in the Bay Area—no joke. The people who work there are always ready to help, no matter what. The parts they’ve got are solid and actually work, which is more than I can say for some other spots. Prices are way better than Pick ‘n’ Pull, too. The only downside? The selection isn’t huge, and sometimes you’ll be on hold forever when you call. But if you don’t mind waiting a bit, it’s worth it. ---

The staff here are the real deal—super helpful, even when they didn’t have *exactly* what I was looking for. They didn’t just shrug and say “sorry, we don’t have it.” Instead, they tore through the whole place, checking every corner, to make sure I got what they *did* have. That kind of effort makes a difference. ---

I was looking for a specific part and wasn’t sure I’d find it, but the staff went out of their way to help. They didn’t just point me in a general direction—they actually took the time to dig through inventory and make sure I left with what I needed. Seriously, that kind of service is rare these days. ---

Called ahead, and they swore up and down they had the part I needed. Drove all the way out there, and guess what? Nothing. No parts, no apology, just a whole lot of wasted time. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. ---

Honestly, this junkyard isn’t just some random parts lot—it’s the kind of place where you can tell the owner actually gives a damn. The way they treat customers, the weirdly cool old covered wagon they’ve got sitting there like a museum piece, even the little details—it all adds up to something special. Dorris, you’re doing it right. Don’t change a thing.

If you’re hunting for old-school car parts, this is the spot. I needed a fuel pump assembly—brand new at AutoZone for nearly $500—and Dorris Auto had it for $38. And it wasn’t some cheap aftermarket knockoff, either. It was OEM, and it *works*. That’s the kind of deal you don’t find often.
