Hess and Sons is the place if you need car parts in town. I’ve been twice now, they’re the only shop I know that actually had what I was after. The staff are friendly, no nonsense, and really know their stuff. I wouldn’t hesitate to send anyone their way.

It’s a good yard to work with. Not one of those pull-it-yourself spots, so you can’t grab parts yourself, but they’ll show you the car and let you check the parts over before you buy. Prices were fair, the turnaround was quick. Six stars would be silly, but it’s close.

Brought in some old tires and rims to get rid of. The woman I talked to on the phone was upfront about the disposal fee, which was fine. When I got there everyone was helpful and professional. Couldn’t ask for better service.

If you’re looking for a salvage yard that actually has the parts you need, Hess & Sons is the place. I went in needing a replacement, and the guy at the front desk—Jake Hess—was super helpful. He even showed me on the satellite view where the cars with the parts I wanted were parked. One thing to note: you’ll need to bring your own tools because you’re grabbing the parts yourself, but that’s fair. No hidden fees, no nonsense. I left with what I needed, and I’ll definitely be back. Simple as that.

Man, I was just calling from Missouri trying to track down an intake manifold, and I wasn’t expecting much—just hoping to find the part. But wow, these guys blew me away. From the first call to the second the part showed up at my door, everything ran smoother than I thought possible. No hassle, no waiting forever, just straight-up good service. I’ve got a few project cars, and now? They’re getting all my business. Seriously, thanks for making this easy—keep doing what you’re doing! ---

Okay, so I needed some parts, and I was a little nervous because I’d never ordered from a salvage yard before. But Jake—he was the guy who helped me—made the whole thing painless. Dude was friendly, answered all my questions, and even texted me when my order was packed and ready to ship. That’s just… really nice, you know? And every time I called back, they remembered me. Like, actually remembered. Not just some robotic “how can I help you” routine. They went out of their way for me, and I’m not exaggerating. Now I’m just waiting for my parts to arrive so I can get my car back on the road—and honestly, I’m stoked. Can’t thank them enough. ---

Needed a window channel, so I swung by this salvage yard today. They didn’t waste my time—told me exactly where to find the car I needed, and since they were swamped, I just grabbed the part myself. It was a small job, so no big deal. Prices were solid, and they’ve got a decent stock of parts if you’re in a pinch. Quick, easy, no nonsense. If you’re looking for something fast, this is the spot.

Look, I’ve had good runs at this place over the years—nothing crazy, but enough to keep coming back. Not today, though. The guy behind the counter acted like I was wasting his time when I asked about the core exchange, and then he had the nerve to question my check after I’ve been a customer for years? At my age, I don’t have patience for that kind of attitude. I was there for a $6,000 engine, and I walked out empty-handed. There are plenty of other yards around—keep driving. ---

These guys don’t mess around. You can tell they’re busy, and for good reason—they actually pull the part for you, which is a huge help. If you’re grabbing something small before 3:30, they’ll probably let you dig around yourself, but otherwise? They handle it. I’ve been to salvage yards all over the country, and this is the one I keep coming back to. No fluff, no excuses—just good service. If you’re looking for parts, start here. ---

Man, I’ve lived here for years and never once thought to check out this salvage yard—what a mistake. It’s not some flashy operation, but the way they treat customers? Way better than those big-city yards I’ve been to. Ethan was on me the second I walked in, took me straight to the car I was looking for, and even pointed out a few other parts I might need. The whole crew’s just… nice. No attitude, no hassle. And the prices? Honestly fair—no hidden fees, no upselling. They’ve got a solid selection of cars and trucks out there, too. I walked out with a roof rack for my SUV, which means my daughter and I can finally hit the water for some kayaking. Not gonna lie, I don’t throw around five stars like candy, but this place earned it. ---
