Pickup day arrived. After six calls confirming they'd be there, my son waited two hours and they never showed. George stayed on the phone until four-fifty then went straight to voicemail. The next day he conveniently vanished. That day Rodrigo and Ashley each called five times about another scheduled pickup. They showed up late again, then the driver got on the phone with Ashley and suddenly the offer dropped $130 less than George's original promise, claiming they needed paperwork—even though George already handled that. The driver scribbled HOLD on the car, said it wouldn't be crushed the next day, handed my son $400, and left. When I reached George the following day, he shrugged and said it depended on the car's condition.
