Dalton really saved the day for us—he jumped in with deep expertise and a great attitude, making sure every detail was covered without any runaround. Easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and just good people. Hunter also deserves a tip of the cap; he walked us through everything, answered all our questions, and got us exactly what we needed without making a fuss. Honestly, it’s refreshing to find folks who actually know what they’re doing. We won’t forget this visit.

Up until today, I’d always had good experiences at Koscove, so I figured August 29th would be no different. I was just pulling into the parking lot after organizing my truck down the street, still a little copper in a bucket, and noticed the shop was nearly empty. Checked the time—4:40—and assumed they were wrapping things up. Then I pulled out onto Main Street instead of driving into the lot, and some guy started screaming at me from the side. I rolled down the window, and he yelled something about seeing me parked down the street for two hours and that they weren’t taking any more people. Didn’t even get the chance to ask a question before he lost it. I just figured I’d come back Monday. There’s no call for that kind of reaction. A simple “we’re closing, come back tomorrow” would’ve done the trick. Instead, he lost it over something that wasn’t even worth the energy. Find a better job—or just learn to speak calmly if you can’t manage that much.

At first glance, the place looked a little wild, but once I walked in I could see it was running smooth as could be. Got paid on the spot for the scrap I brought, which was nice, and I even chose to have that money sent to a local charity. Never been to a salvage yard before, but I’d happily come back here. The whole process was quick, and everyone I talked to was friendly and made things easy.

The prices are solid, but I handed over a bucket of chrome brass and they logged it as stainless steel. I tried to correct them, but the woman just glanced at me. Shouldn’t happen. Still, no big deal in the end.

I never have issues getting my stuff sorted and loaded up. They’ve got those big 5-gallon buckets, the gray trash cans, and if you’ve got a lot of metal, they’ll roll out one of those big carts—or if it’s *really* heavy, they’ll even bring a dumpster right to your truck with a forklift. Makes unloading a breeze. ---

Honestly, I’ve been coming to Koscove for about six months now, and I keep going back because the people there are just *nice*—not that fake customer-service nice, but actually helpful. The office staff and the guys out front always make it easy, and the whole place runs smoother than most junkyards I’ve been to. Weekends are packed, so I usually go on weekdays—get in, grab what I need, and get out without wasting time. Appreciate the good service, and hope everyone there has a solid Thanksgiving! ---

My boyfriend Jon and I just moved to Colorado Springs from Oklahoma, and we stopped by Koscove Metal to ask about jobs. First guy we talked to—someone in a safety vest near the wall—told us to go inside. Then this woman, I think her name was Sarah (the one with neck tattoos), basically shut us down before we could even finish asking. I started to say, *“Are you hir—”* and she cut me off with *“No.”* Just like that. No explanation, no “come back later,” nothing. The whole thing was rude and unprofessional, especially since the place wasn’t even busy at the time. Not the kind of first impression you want when you’re new in town and just trying to get your foot in the door.

Look, I was *really* hoping this place would be different after reading all the bad reviews. Turns out? Nope. Bought some stuff today, went to the window expecting $84, and she handed me cash without me counting it—*my bad for trusting that*. Didn’t even notice until I went to pay a bill later and realized I was short $20. Straight-up stiffed me. The negative reviews? Every single one of them is dead-on. Don’t bother with this place. ---

David at Koscove made our whole day better—seriously, the guy went above and beyond. We left there feeling like we’d actually been helped, not just shuffled through. Not every scrap yard does that, so thanks for making it easy! ---
