Honestly, I called ahead to double-check they had the specific parts I was after. The guy on the phone said they had a bunch of those cars in stock and wouldn’t have a problem finding what I needed. My husband made it clear he wasn’t about to drive all that way if they didn’t—gas isn’t cheap, and neither is our time. They swore up and down they had everything. So, after a long drive and a tank of gas later, he shows up, and what do they tell him? "Sorry, we don’t actually have any of those vehicles here." And the worst part? They had these smirks on their faces like it was some kind of joke. Like they didn’t care at all that he’d just wasted hours and money for nothing. It’s one thing to be wrong, but to act like that? Unbelievable. I wouldn’t send anyone here—liars on the phone, rude in person, and not worth the hassle. One star, and that’s only because I *have* to give them something. Partin & Sons? Skip it.

I called this place to check on a part price, and they quoted me almost $200 for fewer pieces than I’d asked about the week before—where they’d given me a higher price for more parts. They make up prices on the spot and will straight-up overcharge you. Don’t waste your time here. Every time they say they’ve got something, I drive two hours just to find out they don’t. It’s a scam. ---

The guy at the scrap yard wrote down my load as all aluminum, but it was actually cast. Paid me 20 cents for 51 pounds of it—like I was getting the aluminum rate. It was scrap from an outdoor AC unit, straight aluminum. Total rip-off.

Called this junkyard twice about a transfer case—once to see if they had it, then again right before I drove over to confirm. Showed up, and they told me, “Oh, we don’t have it after all.” What a joke. Wasted $20 in gas for nothing. Why not just say no the first time? And I sat there for 20 minutes before anyone even bothered to help me. Never going back. ---

You’ll get better money for your scrap pretty much anywhere else. I wouldn’t care if they paid a little less, but the real problem is their hours. The sign and their website say they close at 5, but I’ve shown up twice in the last month to find them already shut—sometimes 20 minutes early, other times just five. That’s not how you run a business. ---

Giving this place four stars just so it shows up, but honestly, it’s gone downhill hard. The new crew? No knowledge, no friendliness, no respect—none of it. Used to feel welcome pulling into Partins, but not anymore. Now it’s like I’m interrupting their social hour. I don’t know what kind of training it takes to drive a front loader, but they clearly need a refresher. Yeah, you enter at your own risk, but I’ve never had anything damaged until today—when some young guy bent my axle on my trailer (brand new, two loads on it) trying to yank a van out. The old crew did this same thing all the time with no issues. And not even an apology? The owner’s probably too busy, but someone needs to send in a secret shopper or something to see what’s really going on when they’re not around. A real shame how this place has fallen apart. ---
