Charging nearly $500 just for a spindle? That’s highway robbery. Then they kept me on hold for half an hour. Couldn’t believe it. No way am I ever going back to this place.

I usually don't go out of my way to write bad reviews, but folks around Hillsborough County and Tampa Bay should really be careful with Plant City Auto Parts Salvage Yard. Checked their Facebook Marketplace for a transmission, specifically asked for an automatic, and made it clear as day. So, when I show up, they hit me with talk about a 5-speed manual like that's what I wanted. That's not a little mistake—that's straight up shady. Then, after I corrected them, the automatic transmission suddenly jumped to more than double the price they’d originally quoted. That’s when it felt like a bait-and-switch job. Quote something cheap to reel you in, then change the terms once you’re all in. Here’s the worst part—they didn’t even have the transmission. They admitted they’d have to get it from another salvage yard. So yeah, they’re pricing parts they don’t even stock and then upselling after you’re already there. Between the mix-ups, the price hike, and not having what they promised in the first place, I wasted a whole day. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Nobody in Tampa Bay should set foot in that place again.

I was worried about driving all the way out there for nothing, but the new crew actually checked the part before I even showed up. They even told me the price over the phone so I knew what to expect. Saved me a ton compared to other places—worth the trip just for that. ---

Got exactly what I needed at a fair price, and the staff didn’t make me feel like I was wasting their time. Simple as that. ---

I was replacing a bunch of stuff in my truck—seats, climate control, windows, the works—and this place had everything I needed at prices that made sense. They pulled the parts while I waited, let me check them over before buying, and I walked out with everything under $450. No haggling, no runaround. Even the warranty was a bonus. ---

Stephanie and her team took my money for a part they swore was good, then ghosted me when it didn’t work. Don’t bother—just a bunch of liars looking to rip you off. ---

Bought an engine computer here for $300, and it was dead on arrival. When I called to return it, they laughed and said too bad. Absolute garbage operation—avoid at all costs.

Got solid service from the Redman location, but the MLK place was a total letdown. Stood at the counter for 12 minutes with nobody even acknowledging us. The guy behind the desk was too busy staring at his phone to notice we were there. Finally had to interrupt him just to ask if they had a battery in stock. He didn’t even look up when he said no. When I asked if the other location might have it, he just shrugged and said they wouldn’t either. Drove over to Redman, and the lady there took care of me right away and had exactly what I needed.
