Bought a used motor from here for my 2011 Impala, and it had a blown head gasket. The shop put the whole engine in, but then cylinder 1 started misfiring, and the check engine light was flashing when I picked it up. After getting it scanned, the mechanic said the head gasket was shot—so now I’m on the hook for even more repairs. Should’ve known better than to trust a salvage yard with something this critical.

I’d steer clear of this place if I were you. We dropped $500 on a part that turned out to be junk, and when we tried to send it back right away, they made it sound like we’d get a refund—eventually. Turns out, that call never came. They’ll drag you through some "process" just to stall, and by the time you realize they’re not actually helping, you’re out the money and your time. Honestly, I don’t get how they’re still open. ---

Skip this junkyard entirely. They’re just out to take your cash and leave you with a broken or wrong part—then refuse to fix it. Customer service? Nonexistent. They’ll take your money, screw you over, and laugh while you beg for a refund. Don’t bother. ---

Paid for a part at 9:30 AM, and they waited until 4 PM to tell me it was no good. Strung me along all day while I had other stuff to do. Wouldn’t shop here again if they were the last place on Earth. ---

Called with a basic question, and the guy hung up on me. No explanation, no help—just dead air. If I’d been there in person, I bet they’d have found some way to trick me into buying something I didn’t need. Wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw a transmission. ---

Look, I bought a transmission from Southern Auto Salvage on May 24, 2025. The guy, KY, looked it up in their system and told me I needed an all-wheel-drive transmission for my 2009 Lexus IS 250—which was dead wrong. When I called him back to say they sent the wrong part to my repair shop, he basically said, *"Too bad, we’ll only give you 35% back."* That’s $585 out of the $900 I paid. And get this—he hung up on me while I was still trying to fix the mess. A week later, after calling *constantly*, I finally got Chris and Jay on the phone. They refunded the $585 and apologized for KY’s behavior, but KY himself? Never said sorry. Oh, and here’s the kicker—if anything goes wrong, they’ll blame *you*. **Read the back of the receipt.** This place is a scam. Don’t waste your money. ---

These people are outright thieves. Sold me a torn-up leather seat, took my money, and then had the nerve to say, *"It’s as is"* while I was still standing there. Didn’t even let me leave with the seat before lowballing me. Don’t buy engines or transmissions from them—they’ll sell you junk and leave you empty-handed. Never again.
