I saw the part I needed on eBay and called to double-check since the listing only showed the donor car. Ordered it late Friday. Next Monday was a holiday, so I didn’t hear back until Wednesday. Got a voicemail saying to call, but couldn’t at work because of the noise and spotty service. Then Dalton texted Thursday saying the label didn’t match what I wanted. We went back and forth a bit, but they sorted it out and shipped Thursday. Monday it was on my doorstep. Put it in today and finally turned off that idiot light. Thanks to Dalton for fixing it up and to Spilman for being close enough and having what I needed.

Found exactly what I needed—two doors and a fender—based on the great photos of the donor car. Parts looked perfect when I ordered them. But after I paid and even booked a motel for the swap, they sent a text with damage to the doors, the fender missing its trim, and a different color than what I expected. Asked if it would still work. Why bother pulling out good parts just to put in these wrong ones? Now I’ve wasted the motel money too. Feels like a bait and switch scam. Won’t go back.

Cohen Piper at Spilman’s in Bloomfield set me up with an engine from a yard in San Antonio. The engine didn’t run right, so they’re refunding me when I bring it back. Couldn’t ask for much more than that.

Ordered a Dodge Durango engine from Spilman Auto Parts expecting a 12-month warranty. Called before it even shipped to confirm how claims worked and was told to just contact their service department, they’d handle it fast. Three months after install the engine quit. Called Spilman, got told they don’t honor warranties on eBay sales and eBay handles claims. That was news to me. eBay said the seller should manage warranty details. Back and forth, they promised callbacks that never came. Finally spoke with Laurie who said Spilman does cover the warranty. But then another week with no follow-up. Nearly a month with a dead truck and no clear fix. Their story keeps changing, they won’t stand behind what they promised, and communication’s a mess. Wouldn’t recommend them after this runaround.

Got an engine for my 2014 F150 from these guys, and honestly, it was a smooth process. Cohen didn’t just hand me the part—he walked me through everything, even helped with a couple extra things I wasn’t expecting. Prices were fair, and the service was top-notch. If you’re looking for an engine, I’d say go here first. Seriously, Cohen saved me a ton of hassle—thanks, man. ---

I called this place last Monday about a part for my truck, and after waiting a whole week, they finally got back to me—only to say they don’t actually have it. Their website says they do, but when I asked, they just shrugged and said, "Sorry, it’s not here." What’s the point of listing something if you don’t even have it? Wouldn’t waste my time again.

Ordered a part online from these guys and waited a week. Called to check on it, and they acted like *I* was the problem for not having a record of the order. Tried to get a refund, but they never processed it. Don’t waste your time here—go somewhere else. ---

These people made it easy to get the right part, even for something small like a door handle. They didn’t just grab whatever was on the shelf—they made sure it was exactly what I needed. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. ---

Sold our 2004 Chevy Colorado to them, and at first, it seemed straightforward. They’d said on the phone they’d pay $600, even with the frame being shot—we didn’t want to sell it privately because someone might’ve gotten hurt driving it. My husband took it in while I followed with the kids. When I got there, the deal was already done for $600, and Eric was driving it off the lot. The tires were in great shape, though, and I asked about them since they were easily worth $600 on their own. Eric said they couldn’t be resold because of some new Iowa law about waste tires, which didn’t make sense to me. I asked if I could have them back since they weren’t useful to him, but he just shoved the paperwork at me and said the tires came with the truck. When I offered to take them off myself, he admitted he sells them for $20 each but still wouldn’t let me have them. The whole thing felt shady—like he was lowballing us and then being rude about it. Left feeling like we got screwed. ---
