Wilbert's U-Pull It of Buffalo at 550 Pound Road, Elma, NY 14059

First time stopping by and it crushed the other yards I’ve used. Already lifted the vehicles off the ground, handed you wheelbarrows and carts plus sinks to clean your hands. Hard to beat that kind of setup, and I’ll be back for sure.

The crew was great, the place was neat, and the prices were way better than anywhere else. A whole year went by me hunting down a replacement steering wheel at a price that wouldn’t hurt. Only thing I’d complain about is their millings are too big, that’s all.

Wilbert’s in Buffalo started out slick—row one was Chevy trucks and SUVs, followed by Ford, then Dodge, nice and tidy. Employees were right there to lend a hand if you needed to track something down. Something’s changed since last spring, though. The whole yard’s a mess now: aisles twisted up, walkways cluttered with big jagged gravel, impossible to move around without tripping. Staff aren’t particularly eager either. Place smells strongly of weed at the entrance, and the wash-up sinks were out of soap. Prices are just average, but I’ll give them credit for selling cold drinks—that’s nice after a morning wrestling parts in the sun. They still keep the wheelbarrows, four-wheel carts, and big cranes handy for the heavy lifting. Will I return? Yeah. Do they still carry a solid spread of stuff? Yep. When it first opened it was near perfect, which is why it was my go-to spot. Not anymore—M & M’s closer to home usually wins now, and Wilbert’s Buffalo’s my second stop. Bring back the old order and it’s five stars again.

Smooth experience from start to finish. Snagged the exact part we needed. Whole crew was quick with help and easy to talk to. Cars were easy to get to, office was spotless, and they even keep carts and wash-up sinks around. Couldn’t ask for much more.

Place looked okay from the outside, but nobody mentioned the little stickers pasted on the cars with their info. Mixed up the car I needed because of that, took the wrong part. Spent forever trying to spot the right car—finally found it and it was stripped clean. Didn’t match the photo online either. Had phoned ahead since I drove two hours, but they wouldn’t even glance at the car. Service needs a serious upgrade. Folks on site were friendly enough, but some basic pointers would’ve saved everyone a headache. Wasted a full day just to walk away with a dud part I can’t even swap at the Wilbert’s closer to me. Total letdown.
