Small yard but that means less crowds. Pulled right onto the scale and into the yard. Their prices are better than some of their competitors. Great experience
The Denver Scrap Metal Recycle Center at 4920 Washington St is a premier destination for those who are looking to dispose of their scrap metal. The center is proud to offer a convenient and reliable service to the Denver area, accepting all forms of scrap metal in any condition. With competitive prices, the center can provide customers with the best value when it comes time to discard their unwanted items.
The services provided by the Denver Scrap Metal Recycle Center include both commercial and residential services. Commercial customers are welcome to drop off large batches of scrap metal for recycling, while residential customers may bring smaller amounts of scrap for disposal. The staff at the center can help identify and sort through each item, making sure that all metals are properly recycled and not sent to landfill sites or left in landfills where possible. To provide even better customer service, the staff has also been trained on environmental protection protocols as well as safety guidelines when handling hazardous materials. This ensures that all materials brought into the center are handled in a safe manner and sent to the proper place for disposal or recycling.
In addition to providing services related to disposing unused metal items, they also offer buy-back options to those looking to make some extra money by selling off their old metals. Whether its aluminum cans or copper wiring, their expert staff is able to appraise everything on site and then determine an appropriate payment amount based on current market prices. Customers can be confident that they're getting top dollar for every purchase made at this facility!
With a commitment towards being environmentally responsible, the Denver Scrap Metal Recycle Center makes sure that every piece of metal is taken care of properly so it can be reused or recycled rather than thrown away or discarded in landfills and dumped into rivers or oceans. Their commitment towards sustainability has made them a leader amongst waste management facilities in Colorado, allowing them to remain competitive yet still provide exceptional service and value for their customers day after day.

Worst place to sell copper “DO NOT GO THERE”
Before going to this place I call for the actual price per pound. They told me $1.70 per pound (insulated) so I decide to go, 370 plus pounds and only 183 dollars they decide to pay me .48 cents per pound it’s Sunday and I don’t want to drive another 30 min back home whit all the wires so I took those 180 dollars.
Y para los paisas que trabajan ahí si no les gusta su trabajo renuncien alv (no vallan ahí )
They were very fast and gave me 60 bucks for some scrap copper
This place is amazing! I occasionally scrap steel on an industrial level for my business and they are always friendly fast and pay top dollar! My only issue is they accept many stolen metals from the homeless with shopping carts in the area without much proof of ownership (catalytic converters, brand new copper or steel) so it would be nice to see a little more regulation to prevent theft. Otherwise I love this scrap yard. They often provide food for free during the week for those who need it, and host a good drive on Saturday mornings! Thank you very much to the whole team for running a great business.
They literally pay the lowest prices for scrap out of any other yard in the city. I'm not saying that to be rude or because I'm a disgruntled customer. It's just plain factual based information. The one thing they do have, though, that none of the other yards offer is great hours. They're open Sunday, till 7:30 on Saturday, and on most holidays. I do, also, like the majority of the staff there, but because of what they pay, they are only my “had no other choice but to go there” scrap yard.
