Needed a gas cap in a hurry. Was at Spence’s next door after I filled up and noticed strong gasoline smell when I started my car back up – discovered I accidentally left the original cap at that gas station 20 miles away. Quick in-and-out purchase, fair price, saved the day, thanks!

I can’t say enough about this place!!! My upstream o2 sensor in my 2016 Hyundai Accent went bad and I needed to get the part the same day. My father in law and I went to autozone, advanced auto parts, and Napa to get the part and none of them had it in stock. We went to Manlove and they had the part right there and gave us a discount!!! Thank you so much guys!!!! We will be going to them more often!!!!

Both the machine shop in the back and the front retail staff let me down.

Machine shop:
Mike is the main guy in the machine shop and he's a very polite, nice gentleman to work with. Unfortunately he works with a system that doesn't provide customers with quotes so he'll tell you one price, time passes, you return to pick up your finished parts and the price has inflated quite a bit (hundreds). I would have given Mike and his guys another chance with my next engine project provided we had costs in writing next time, until I started putting together the parts from my first one I got back from them… the magnaflux dust they use to check for cracks was in every single threaded hole and under my valves. Unfortunately I did not catch this until it was too late and an injector hold-down bolt seized into the threaded hole and I snapped off the head of the bolt. I've had engine parts machined from three other shops in the Midwest and I've never gotten parts back that still needed hours of cleaning. On top of that, the heads were painted with some silver coating which is wreaking havoc on my engine paint. I've gone through a dozen cans of brake kleen so far trying to clean these heads up which I paid $400 for labor on already. “Rushed work” is not what I want from my engine shop. If you are thinking about having Manlove work on your projects, get all quotes in writing and inspect them closely before paying.

Front Retail Staff:
I was passing through the back engine shop to the front and I stopped to browse their store. While I was walking around, the staff members who were working the counter were discussing financial info of Manlove Auto Parts' clients who have accounts with the store, making fun of them for how they run their businesses. By the time I left the store I knew which of Manlove's accounts were past due, which of them were slime-balls and who's charge accounts were closed due to non-payment. Very unprofessional.

I'm sticking with N A P A from now on.

I live 2 hours away from Dover and there are nearly zero machine shops close to me that do block work so I took a chance and drove 2 hours each way to Manlove's machine shop in Dover to get my 400 sbc block cleaned, checked for cracks, mains align honed, freeze plugs and oil galley plugs replaced, cam bearings installed and the block bored with torque plates. Mike in the machine shop was very professional and advised me on a few added things he though I should consider that really were good suggestions. Told me what it would cost roughly and did it at that cost in about 3 weeks. Im very pleased with the finished product.
