Best place for used parts for you DiY repairs..
To al you Mekineks (mean you watch the video on the way over) kept turning bolts and making yourselves super proud, you probably can fix anything….
I-Pull is Southeastern Idaho’s first self-service salvage yard, located at 3015 N 15th E in Idaho Falls. Operating under the slogan “I Pull, I Save,” this automotive salvage yard offers a unique DIY experience where customers can find affordable used auto parts by removing them from vehicles themselves.
As one of the most popular junkyards in Idaho, I-Pull provides a cost-effective alternative to buying new parts or visiting full-service auto parts stores. The yard features a wide range of cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs from which customers can salvage quality used parts at a fraction of retail prices.
I-Pull operates on a self-service model that puts the power in customers’ hands, allowing them to find and extract exactly what they need at significantly lower prices than traditional auto parts stores.
Service Type | Description | Customer Benefit |
---|---|---|
Self-Service Parts Removal | Customers bring their own tools to extract parts from vehicles | Significant cost savings compared to full-service yards |
Complementary Equipment | Free wheelbarrows, engine hoists, and tire breakdown machines | Makes handling heavy parts easier without additional cost |
Vehicle Purchasing | Buys cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs in any condition | Easy way to dispose of unwanted vehicles for cash |
Free Towing | Will tow non-running vehicles to the yard | Convenience for customers with immobile vehicles |
Yard Map & Inventory System | Helps locate specific vehicles and parts | Saves time when searching for specific parts |
Unlike traditional auto parts stores or full-service salvage yards, I-Pull empowers customers to find exactly what they need at much lower prices. For example, a part that might cost $50 at a full-service yard could be available for just $10-$20 at I-Pull, simply because you’re doing the labor yourself.
I-Pull buys vehicles in any condition, running or not. If your car can’t be driven to the yard, they offer free towing services. This is an excellent option for those looking to get rid of unwanted vehicles while getting some cash in return. The yard accepts cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs, making it a convenient option for vehicle owners looking to sell their old rides.

The I-Pull salvage yard maintains a diverse inventory of vehicles that customers can browse for parts. The yard regularly updates its stock with fresh cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs.
Their inventory includes various makes and models such as:
The inventory is dynamic, with fresh vehicles added daily. While some of the examples seen in their inventory are older models, newer vehicles may be available depending on recent acquisitions. The yard’s focus is on providing a wide range of parts availability rather than selling whole vehicles.
Finding a specific part is made easier with I-Pull’s yard map and inventory search tools. Customers can check current availability before visiting the yard to ensure they’ll find what they need.

When visiting I-Pull in Idaho Falls, customers frequently search for specific auto parts that offer the best value when purchased used rather than new.
These major mechanical parts are the most valuable finds at any salvage yard due to their high replacement cost when new. Used engines and transmissions from I-Pull can save customers hundreds or even thousands of dollars. These parts are particularly popular for older vehicles or models where new replacements would exceed the car’s value.
After collisions, replacement body parts like doors, hoods, fenders, and bumpers are in high demand. I-Pull offers these parts at a fraction of new OEM prices. For example, a used car fender or a used car hood can save you significant money on collision repairs.
Struts, shocks, control arms, and other suspension parts are frequently purchased at I-Pull. These parts are critical for ride quality and handling but can be expensive when bought new. Used suspension parts in good condition offer excellent value.
Engine cooling systems, particularly radiators, are popular items at the yard. A properly functioning used radiator can be a smart purchase for customers dealing with overheating issues. Learn more about finding a used car radiator at affordable prices.
AC compressors, condensers, and expansion tubes are frequently pulled from vehicles at I-Pull. These parts can be expensive new but often remain in good condition in salvage vehicles.
I-Pull’s self-service model is ideal for these types of parts, as customers can inspect the condition before purchase and often find parts from the exact same make and model as their vehicle.
I-Pull offers a straightforward and fixed pricing structure that makes it easy for customers to know exactly what they’ll pay before they start pulling parts.
Part Description | Price | Core Charge |
---|---|---|
Engine (Diesel) | $300 | $100 |
Turbo Charger | $65 | $20 |
Door (Bare Shell) | $30 | $0 |
Truck Bed (Bare) | $175 | $35 |
Steering Gear/Box | $35 | $10 |
Quarter Panel | $65 | $6 |
Head (Aluminum Bare) | $35 | $10 |
For a full pricelist, customers can visit the official I-Pull website. The pricing structure makes I-Pull significantly more affordable than traditional auto parts stores or full-service salvage yards.
I-Pull serves customers from Idaho Falls and numerous surrounding communities throughout southeastern Idaho and parts of neighboring states. People regularly travel from these nearby cities to access the affordable parts at I-Pull:
The yard’s central location in Idaho Falls makes it accessible to customers from throughout the region. Many find the drive worthwhile for the significant savings on auto parts compared to retail prices.
I-Pull helps customers find compatible parts across different vehicle makes and models through their parts interchange system. This valuable tool enables customers to expand their search beyond just their exact vehicle model.
The online interchange search option allows customers to identify parts from other vehicles that may fit their specific make and model. This system cross-references the yard’s inventory to provide a list of interchangeable parts, even from different models.
The interchange system includes:
This system significantly increases the chances of finding the right part, especially for harder-to-find items or older vehicles. It’s one of the most valuable tools I-Pull offers to simplify the DIY parts-hunting experience.

I-Pull stands behind the parts sold at their yard with a comprehensive warranty policy that provides peace of mind for customers.
All parts purchased from I-Pull carry a 90-day limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This basic coverage ensures that if a part fails due to inherent defects, customers have recourse.
The warranty options provide flexibility based on customer needs and the type of part purchased. For specific pricing or terms, direct contact with I-Pull is recommended.
I-Pull charges a $2 per person entrance fee to access the self-service salvage yard. This nominal fee:
The entrance fee must be paid in cash, so come prepared. While there are no specific discounts for the entrance fee, bringing old parts you’re replacing can reduce costs via core charge refunds.
I-Pull operates with the following schedule:
– Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
– Saturday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
– Sunday: Closed
The yard is open on Saturdays, making it accessible for those who work during the week. Plan your visit accordingly, especially if you’re traveling from further away.
Visiting I-Pull requires some preparation, as customers need to bring their own tools to remove parts from vehicles.
Different parts require different tools:
– Engines/transmissions: Use the provided engine hoist for lifting
– Tires: Manual tire break-down machines are available
– Body panels: Hand tools like pry bars or screwdrivers
– Electrical parts: Multimeter or wiring tools (customer-provided)
It’s recommended to check the yard’s price list and map beforehand to identify target vehicles and required tools before your visit. This preparation will make your trip more efficient and successful.

For those exploring options beyond I-Pull, there are several other salvage yards in the Idaho Falls area.
In comparing I-Pull to nearby options, several key differences emerge:
For those who enjoy the hands-on approach and want to save money, I-Pull’s self-service model offers significant advantages. However, those who prefer having parts removed for them might consider one of the full-service yards in the area.
The entrance fee is $2 per person, which grants access to the self-service salvage yard. This fee helps maintain equipment like wheelbarrows, engine hoists, and manual tire breakdown machines available for free use. It also covers small parts like bolts, screws, and clips that customers might need during their visit.
Customers must bring their own hand tools, gloves, boots, and safety glasses. Battery-powered tools are permitted, but jacks, cutting torches, and other heavy equipment are prohibited. Basic tools may be available for purchase at the yard, but it’s recommended to bring your own to ensure you have everything needed.
Core charges are refundable fees applied to parts that are rebuildable, contain valuable parts, or require regulatory compliance. For example, if you purchase a part with a core charge, you can return the old part (even if non-functional) within 15 days to receive a refund for the core charge.
No, employees do not perform part checks to keep prices low. Customers are encouraged to use the yard map and interchange information provided at the office to locate parts themselves. If a part isn’t found, the $2 entrance fee can be credited toward a purchase at their full-service yard in Rigby.
Parts can be returned within 30 days for store credit (receipt required). Core-charge parts must be returned within 15 days to receive a refund for the core charge. Parts must be marked as yours before leaving the yard to ensure eligibility.
No, vehicles in the yard are only sold as parts. Once a car is placed in the yard, it cannot be purchased whole. However, I-Pull does buy junk cars (running or not) and offers towing services if needed.
At I-Pull, customers pull parts themselves, paying significantly less than at full-service yards (e.g., Intermountain Auto Recycling in Rigby). Full-service yards provide pre-pulled parts and assistance, but I-Pull’s model reduces costs by eliminating labor fees. For example, a part priced at $50 at a full-service yard might cost $10–$20 at I-Pull.
I-Pull stands out as Southeastern Idaho’s first self-service salvage yard, offering a unique value proposition for cost-conscious auto parts shoppers. The yard’s fixed pricing structure, comprehensive inventory, and DIY model provide significant savings compared to both retail parts stores and full-service salvage yards.
Whether you’re a budget-minded DIY mechanic, a car enthusiast, or simply someone looking to save money on vehicle repairs, I-Pull offers an accessible solution. The $2 entrance fee is a small price to pay for access to affordable parts that could save hundreds of dollars on your repair bill.
The yard’s business model of letting customers pull their own parts with their own tools keeps prices low while giving people control over exactly which part they select. Additionally, their vehicle purchasing service provides a convenient option for those looking to dispose of unwanted vehicles.
For residents of Idaho Falls and surrounding areas, I-Pull represents a valuable automotive resource that combines affordability with a hands-on experience. As the automotive industry continues to see rising prices for new parts, salvage yards like I-Pull offer a practical alternative that helps extend the life of existing vehicles while keeping repair costs manageable.

To al you Mekineks (mean you watch the video on the way over) kept turning bolts and making yourselves super proud, you probably can fix anything….
You have to pay $2 per person to go through the back to look at the cars. They give you a list of the vehicles that match yours. I stated I was looking for a grill !! They gave me a list of vehicles; I assumed they all had grills. No. We went and looked in the back and none of the vehicles HAD ANY GRILLS. They don’t keep inventory of the parts. You just go look and the vehicle “might” have what you’re looking for. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. They didn’t tell me that they “might” have grills or not. I even called and asked specifically on grills. Pathetic business.
The communication is absolutely terrible! I probably called them four dozen times and two out of those times I talked to somebody. Nothing got accomplished. I’ve been trying to schedule a date and time for somebody to come pick up some vehicles out of my yard and so far nothing and it’s been a month and a half. I have had to give them my information two different times and have been told I’ll hear back but never do.
Their lot is very easy to follow. They're Rows are simple, you take your own tools get what you want. very reasonably priced.
Read their site carefully. States they update twice daily. THEY DO NOT. The employee indicated maybe once a week on Thursday. The car i was looking for showed it was here. They verified it on their entrance search. After I could not find the car I was told was here 10 minutes earlier, it was a challenge getting my money back. Then I was told if they refunded my money I was banned for life. Not a problem since I don't live here, but rather harsh treatment for being totally misled. Just BEWARE.
