Los Amigos Auto Salvage is a self-service auto salvage yard in Phoenix. Customers can find used auto parts for cars, trucks, and other vehicles here. The yard runs on a u-pull-it model—you locate the part you need and remove it yourself.

Open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, the yard is at 921 W Magnolia St, near downtown Phoenix. Manuel Martinez and Daniel Otero have owned the business since 2003. It’s a practical spot for affordable, reusable parts.

Services & What to Expect

Los Amigos Auto Salvage is a self-service yard. You search the lot, find the parts you need, and remove them yourself. The yard carries used auto parts for cars, trucks, and other vehicles, including engines, transmissions, body panels, and interior components. Tools are usually available on-site, but you might want to bring your own.

The yard doesn’t offer professional part removal or installation. You’re responsible for taking the parts you need and making sure they fit your vehicle. If you’re unsure about a part, bring the part number or ask staff for help.

If you need to get rid of an old vehicle, check out cash for junk cars services in Phoenix. While Los Amigos focuses on parts, many local junkyards buy junk cars for scrap or parts.

What to Bring

  • A vehicle needing parts or a list of what you’re looking for
  • Basic tools, if you don’t plan to use the yard’s tools
  • Gloves and safety gear (recommended)
  • Cash or a payment method (some yards require payment before removal)
  • A helper (some parts are heavy or hard to remove alone)

What to Know Before Visiting

  • The yard is self-service—staff can help find parts but won’t remove them for you.
  • Parts are sold as-is, with no warranties.
  • Prices depend on the part’s condition, age, and demand.
  • Some parts may need cleaning or minor repairs before use.
  • Check local recycling rules if you’re disposing of removed parts.

Brought my Suburban in for a transmission rebuild here a few years back. Still shifts smooth as ever—no issues after 25,000 miles and counting. Solid work. ---

This place has been around forever, and it’s all about used parts. The owner’s straight-up honest, no games. I call them whenever I need discontinued OEM parts they’ve got lying around. Worth a shot if you’re looking for something hard to find. ---

Bought a used truck, and the transmission rebuild they did was a total mess. First off, the speedometer didn’t work when I got it back, and the owner acted like he had no clue why. Turns out, the dealer told me the output shaft was wrong—something they should’ve caught during the rebuild. Then they hit me with an extra charge for the part, even though they missed it the first time. Had to pay a dealer just to confirm what was wrong and replace the speed sensor. After all that, I drove the truck a few times and it started acting up—redlining before shifting, refusing to go into overdrive. Took it back, and they said the valve body was stuck. Then they wanted to swap out the deep-dish oil pan for a stock one because they couldn’t find a filter for it. Later, they admitted they’d used the wrong filter the first time and just jury-rigged it with a warped wire. Didn’t want to do that again, they said. Two days later, same problem. Took it back, and they kept it for a week. Got it back on October 24, 2017, and it’s still not fixed. Had to hound them for updates every time, and they’d keep my truck for days—sometimes a whole week. No warning, no heads-up. I had to Uber to work because this was my only ride. Absolute nightmare. ---

Needed a transmission job on my Suburban and checked a bunch of places. Most quoted me between $1,600 and $2,200. Los Amigos did it for under $1,200. Saved me a ton of money without cutting corners. ---

My buddy Paco works here, and if you need transmission work, he’s your guy. Fair prices, good hands-on work—no fluff, just results.
