My SUV overheated during my turn at the pump in the Costco line yesterday (July 1st). $5.19/gal btw!!! I had to be pushed to a parking spot. Tried to get help at the Tire Center, they refused and kept saying over and over, we can’t allow a dog in here and blocked the entrance like I was going to make a run for it!! It’s 90 degrees outside, do you think I was going to leave him in the car?!!! They told me I could go to O’Reilly’s Auto Parts 1 1/2 miles away….let me get my broom out!!!! I can’t walk because it’s 90 degrees and I have a dog!!!! A dog with a BLACK coat. Then their Manager told me they aren’t AAA!!!! Back story: my dog was with me because he had a Vet appointment at 8am that day and I work close to the Vet office. My boss okayed my boy to work with me for the day. Our a/c went out and we were all sent home early. I stopped to fill up before heading home to Nampa.
Luckily, in that dramatic 20 minutes added with clueless people that kept asking, “can I pet your dog?!!” My vehicle cooled enough and we made it to O’Reilly’s where we found Patrick. He was no short of amazing!!!! He not only got my boy, Welkin, COLD water, he said we could hang in the store for awhile to cool off, AND he helped put the coolant into the radiator and runoff container for me. I NEVER get help!!!! I’m not helpless and pathetic looking enough. He went back into the store after saying goodbye and have a nice weekend, then he came back out to see where my needle was on my gauge!!!! Now that’s customer service, above and beyond!!!! I cannot thank Patrick enough for helping me and my boy.
