Without a doubt the biggest ripoff in the recycling business. I had 100 lbs of aluminum and they threw it all together. One price fits all. Same with copper. Shinny bright over $1 under any other guys in the area. 25 lbs of 85% insulated .30 a lb. Again one price fits all. The yard guys definitely hated having to work at all. After seeing the standard response I see that the only solution is competition in Sandpoint. A person could make a quick fortune buying at their price and reselling in Coure D Alain 30 miles away.
Mike is often very busy and he's a good guy. Have stopped in there occasionally for the last 15 years, mostly for nickel-dime stuff, and have always been totally satisfied with the service. And they have great calendars.
You can (and should) recycle most metals here also the owner and employees are also polite and helpful. I just wish they let me buy or have pieces of scrap metal for my diy like they used to.
Decent prices but service needs a lot of work.
