Overview

B & H Auto Parts at 1500 W Pulaski Hwy, Elkton, MD 21921

B & H Auto Parts is a self-service auto salvage yard at 1500 W Pulaski Hwy in Elkton, Maryland. The yard sells used auto parts, with customers handling their own part removal. It’s part of Complete Recycling Group, which has been in the auto recycling business since 1968. Customers can find parts for repairs at lower prices than new ones, and the yard is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Services & What to Expect

B & H Auto Parts is a self-service yard, meaning customers find and remove their own parts. The yard doesn’t offer professional disassembly, so you’ll need to bring your own tools. Vehicles range from cars to trucks, with parts in different conditions.

The yard is organized by vehicle type and year, making it easier to search. Common parts include engines, transmissions, body panels, bumpers, doors, and interior components. Check the website or call ahead to confirm if a specific part is in stock, as inventory changes often.

If you have an old car you no longer need, you can sell it for cash to a junkyard or recycling center. Many salvage yards, including those in the Complete Recycling Group, take vehicles for scrap or parts.

What to Bring

  • Tools for part removal (wrenches, sockets, pry bars)
  • Gloves and safety gear (parts can be sharp or dirty)
  • Transportation for the part (a truck or trailer may be needed for larger items)
  • Cash or a payment method the yard accepts (check the website for details)

How Self-Service Works

  1. Visit during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
  2. Find the vehicle with the part you need.
  3. Remove the part using your tools.
  4. Pay for the part at the office.
  5. Leave with your part—no professional help is provided.

I called up just to ask about a part for my car, and the guy on the phone basically told me they didn’t have it before hanging up on me. No explanation, no “let me check,” just done. I don’t even leave reviews usually, but that was so unnecessarily rude. There was zero reason for him to act like that—no excuse for being that short with someone. If this is how they treat customers, someone needs to have a talk with their staff. ---

Drove all the way to Pulaski Highway looking for parts for my Jeep Cherokee, only to get sent to another location three and a half miles away. When I finally got there, there was a sign pointing me to the other side of the building—only to find that door locked too. Some guy stuck his head out a window and went, *“Here.”* So I walked over, and this dude behind the glass starts grilling me like I’m wasting his time. I was still trying to figure out why I was talking through a window when he cut me off, demanding to know if I’d actually buy whatever parts he found. I said, *“Yeah, if the price is right.”* Then he grabs his walkie and starts yelling into it—three times—while I’m just standing there with my head stuck in the window like an idiot. No answer came back, and by then I’d had enough. Left without buying anything. Absolute garbage service, and I won’t be back. ---

These people made it *impossible* to get our boats back. They towed two of them without a certified letter or even a phone call, then played dumb when we asked about them. Only “remembered” after we called the sheriff’s department—convenient. Maryland law says they can only charge $250 for the tow plus $30 a day, but they hit us with $500 *each*. And of course, they only took cash and acted like giving us a receipt was a personal favor. If I could leave a -100% rating, I would. Stay far away from this place. I’ve already filed a complaint with the BBB. (Pro tip: Don’t think they’re even a real towing company—the phone menu doesn’t even list towing as an option. Had to guess which button to press just to talk to someone.) Had to pick one star just to post this. Absolute scam.

First time at B&H, and the girl at the front desk swore they had my exact car model in the yard. Next day, I’m out there in the rain with my mechanic for nearly an hour, searching everywhere—no car. So we go back inside, and the guy (sorry, forgot your name) actually *helped* us. Looked it up, told us straight up they didn’t have it. Meanwhile, the girl who lied was shooting daggers at me the whole time. The guy, though? Knew my rare car inside and out, gave me honest pricing, even offered to order parts for me. If you’ve got a common car, their pulling prices are fair. Just skip the girl at the desk—she’s useless and dishonest. The older guy’s the one who’ll get you what you need. ---

This u-pull-it junkyard is solid—tons of parts to pick from, and the prices are actually decent. One time, I needed this tiny little plastic trim piece, and the guy just waved me off. Said, *“Nah, that’s nothing—you already paid the entrance fee.”* In a world where every business is out to squeeze you dry, that one small thing made me a repeat customer. Not a lot of places care about loyalty like that. ---
