Overview

Billy's Auto Wrecking at 4235 Columbine St, Denver, CO 80216

Billy's Auto Wrecking is a self-service auto salvage yard at 4235 Columbine St in Denver. Customers can browse and remove parts from wrecked vehicles on their own. The yard doesn’t buy cars or offer cash for vehicles, but it’s been a go-to spot for affordable used auto parts since 1983.

Services & What to Expect

Billy's is a self-service salvage yard, meaning you handle the part removal yourself. The lot has a variety of wrecked vehicles with common parts like engines, transmissions, body panels, bumpers, lights, and interior components. Tools are usually available to rent on-site if you don’t bring your own.

Before you go, make sure you:

  • Bring tools (or rent them there)
  • Know the exact part you need (make, model, year)
  • Check if they list inventory online
  • Wear gloves and safety gear

The yard doesn’t offer vehicle inspections, part cleaning, or professional disassembly. If you need to sell a junk car, other Denver providers handle cash-for-cars services.

Location & Hours

Billy's Auto Wrecking is at 4235 Columbine St in Denver, CO 80216. Currently, the yard is closed to the public every day, including weekends. This likely means it operates by appointment only or has limited access. For the latest hours, call (303) 295-2152 directly—online listings may not be up to date.

The location is in a light industrial area near major roads, making it easy to reach from downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Other auto-related businesses are nearby, which could be helpful for parts or repairs.

Recent Updates

Billy's has been a Denver salvage yard since 1983, operating at the same Columbine Street location. While no major news has come out recently, the yard is still listed as an active u-pull-it facility in salvage directories. It focuses on self-service part removal without expanding into vehicle buying or extra services.

If you need to sell a junk car, other Denver providers offer cash-for-cars services.

Ordered parts upfront, showed up and they were busted—like, obviously broken. Tried to get my money back, but they wouldn’t budge. Absolute scam. Don’t waste your time or cash here. ---

The guys at this place were chill. Helped me find a truck back window, and when I asked a million questions, they didn’t roll their eyes or sigh. Now I call them first for parts—no hassle, no attitude.

Never actually went to this junkyard, but called for help and got an attitude from the guy on the phone. Asked about a car’s color and if they had others in different colors, and he acted like I’d insulted his grandma. Their website says the staff is friendly—yeah, right. What a joke. ---

Mike at Western Auto saved my Jeep project. Needed a bunch of parts to get my J10 looking sharp for an event, and he had a Wagoneer door with everything still attached—priced way better than anywhere else. Dude’s friendly, knows his stuff, and won’t nickel-and-dime you for every little thing. Other places? Forget it. They’ll charge you $300 for the same door. His yard’s small, but he’ll pull parts if you ask, and half the time, what he’s got is in better shape than the big chains. Been a while since I’ve been back, but I’ll be hitting him up again soon for more Jeep parts. ---

Needed a power steering pump and AC compressor—had both, and the prices were solid. Saved me a ton compared to other places. ---
