The guy who quoted my car over the phone was quick and fair—no long, drawn-out calls or nonsense. That’s why I gave them four stars. The actual pickup, though? The guy who showed up was in a hurry, didn’t say much, and acted like I was wasting his time. Still, the whole process was smooth enough that I’d probably send someone else their way if they needed to get rid of a car. ---

This place has a ton of older cars, but you’ll find some newer ones too. The parts are solid—headliners, rims, tires with decent tread left on them. Where I’m from in Louisiana, yards like this don’t exist, so it’s actually worth the drive. They’ve got a lot of stuff sitting around, and if you’re looking for something specific, chances are you’ll find it here. ---

I drove all the way to Cash and Carry again, and let me tell you—it’s frustrating. The second I pulled up, I noticed they’d already stripped half the trucks in the lot before I even got there. At first, I thought other people were just beating me to the good parts, but no, it’s just how they do things. I ended up with a rusted-out tow hitch and a hood seal that was basically garbage for $22. Not worth the trip, not worth the gas. They really need to start posting better pictures of what’s actually left on these cars. I’ve been coming here for years, and it never gets any better. At this point, I feel like they’re the ones getting the good end of the deal, not me. ---

Me and my buddies rolled up here looking for parts for an old Civic, and we hit the jackpot. Miss Ruthy—pretty sure that’s her name—was a total lifesaver. She hooked us up with a killer deal on everything we needed and went out of her way to help when we were stuck. No doubt we’ll be back the next time we’re in a bind. ---

The prices here are great, and the people working there actually know what they’re doing. That said, the neighborhood’s a little rough—some shady-looking folks hanging around outside. It’s only $2 to get in, so it’s not a huge hassle, but you’ve gotta be okay with the vibe. Still worth it if you’re after parts.
