Positive Reviews

  • L Rankin (5/5 stars): "Needed a part for an old car, and they didn’t have it in stock. Within minutes, they texted me the price, delivery time, and confirmed they’d get it. No hassle, fair price."
  • Gabriel M. (5/5 stars): "One of the better junkyards in Connecticut. Walk in, find what you need (if it’s not a high-end part), and buy it at the listed price. The $2 entry fee is worth it for the deals."
  • Luis Molina Atiencia (5/5 stars): "If you’re working on an older car, this place has a lot of parts—just dig through and pull them yourself. Nothing newer than 2016, but good for classic or older vehicles."

Negative Reviews

  • Justin Morrissey (1/5 stars): "Bought a used 5.3 LS engine with a supposed 90,000 miles. After 6,000 miles, the cam bearings failed. The oil pan was full of sludge when I tore it apart."
  • Daniel R (1/5 stars): "Bought something listed on eBay from them, and it was defective. Took a week to get a response, and they sent a fake tracking number. Only got a refund after repeated calls."

Reviews show the yard offers good deals, but buyers should check used engines and parts carefully. Staff are usually helpful, though delays in ordering can happen.

Chuck and Eddie’s saved me—needed a part for an old car, and they didn’t have it in stock. But within minutes, they texted me the price, how long it’d take, and said they’d get it. No hassle, no waiting around. Price was fair, and they made it easy. If you need parts, these guys are the ones to call. ---

This place is a total scam—wouldn’t even give them one star if I could. Bought a used 5.3 LS engine with a supposed 90,000 miles and a one-year warranty, but it was junk from the start. After 6,000 miles, the cam bearings fell out, wrecking the whole thing. When I tore it apart, the oil pan was full of bearings, and the pistons were caked in carbon—no way this engine had 90K miles. The intake manifold was loose, the fuel rail and injectors were missing, and I had to fish a bolt out of an intake valve with pliers. Five broken exhaust manifold bolts, a shattered harmonic balancer—none of this was mentioned when I bought it. The engine spun over okay, but it had a weird noise on startup that went away once warm. Turns out, that noise was the bearings failing. Chuck and Eddie’s told me the only replacement they could get had 180K miles, and I never even got a call back when I followed up. My Tahoe’s got 300K miles but no rust, and I’ve dumped $10K into new parts—this engine was garbage. Eric was useless, couldn’t even help with the warranty. Now I’m looking at a $5K rebuild because the block is shot. Absolute nightmare. Won’t go back, and I’ll warn anyone who asks. ---

Mitchell’s Auto Parts (aka Chuck and Eddie’s) is a total mess. Bought something off eBay they listed, and it was a disaster from the start. A week went by before they even told me the part was bad—no warning, nothing. They shipped a fake tracking number, and I only got a refund after I kept calling and leaving messages. Don’t waste your time or money here. They’ll screw you over. ---

This junkyard in Connecticut is one of the better ones I’ve been to. You can walk in, find whatever part you need (as long as it’s not a big-ticket item), and buy it off their price list. Everything’s cheap, and the $2 entry fee is nothing. If you’re on a budget, it’s worth a trip.

If you’re looking for parts, this place has a ton of them—just gotta dig through and pull them yourself. No cars newer than 2016, but if you’re working on an older ride, it’s a decent spot to check. ---
