Fast, fair, and no hassle—that’s how this place does business. Their scrap prices beat other yards around here, and the whole process is smooth. No long lines to unload, no waiting at the pay window. They even take old TVs for just $10 each, which was a nice surprise. Soggybottom Inc. says this is legit, and I’d agree. ---

Parking here is tight if you’ve got a big truck—watch your step, too, because there’s scrap metal everywhere. Shipping and receiving runs from 7 AM to 4 PM, first-come-first-served. ---

After going to a few scrap yards, this one’s the best by a mile. The pay is solid, the staff is actually friendly (no side-eye when you ask questions), and their website’s got up-to-date prices—not like some places where the numbers haven’t changed since the ‘90s. All in all, a no-brainer. ---

Finally, a scrap yard that helps you unload your stuff—that’s a game-changer, especially when you’re hauling 900+ pounds of steel every day. The customer service is top-notch, too; the guy I talked to on the phone was polite and professional. I’ll keep bringing my business here as long as I can make it before they close. Otherwise, I’m stuck at another yard that shuts down at 5 PM. ---

Turns out they’ve got a 100-pound minimum on steel—something I didn’t know until some guy on a forklift gave me a lecture about it. He acted like it was a huge inconvenience to pay me $2 for my 40 pounds. Real professional. And of course, you can’t see the scale yourself, so you just have to trust they’re not lowballing you. Not a place I’ll be rushing back to.
