I’ve dealt with scrap yards in more towns than I can count, and Diaz is by far the worst. They’ll tell you there’s a tiny scrap of rubber on a rim or some random piece of tin just to nickel-and-dime you on the spot. It’s not just being strict—it’s outright lying. And if you’re a woman? Forget it. They act like you’re trying to weigh nothing but air. My experience has been nothing but bad, and honestly, the only people who go there are the ones with no other choice. Some folks only bring their loads here when they’re desperate, scraping by between paychecks. The way they run this place isn’t just wrong—it’s a disgrace. I hope karma catches up to them someday. Thanks for the headache. ---

Jason and his crew are the real deal. Every time I’m there, they go out of their way to help. No other scrap yard even comes close—I won’t take my stuff anywhere else. ---

Almost got run over by a front loader because the new fence they put up blocks the view of the road. Barely made it to the scale in time to sell my scrap—next time, I’m going somewhere else. ---

The guys at this place are solid, and I like that they’re dog people—always a plus. The pay’s fair, and they don’t drag their feet when it comes to getting you in and out. ---

These people will screw you over without blinking. They can’t tell the difference between #1 and #2 copper, and one of their employees acts like every piece of cast iron is made of some "magic metal." It’s ridiculous.
