Services & What to Expect
Dodge City Auto Wrecking is a self-service yard, meaning you handle finding and removing parts on your own. The lot has a large selection of wrecked cars, trucks, and SUVs with usable parts like engines, transmissions, doors, fenders, bumpers, and interior components.
How Self-Service Works
Walk in during business hours, find the vehicle with the part you need, and remove it using your own tools. The yard offers basic tools for rent or sale, but bringing your own makes the job easier. Once you’ve got the part, pay at the office based on the yard’s pricing. No appointment is needed—just show up and start looking.

Tools for removing parts (wrenches, sockets, pry bars, etc.)
Gloves and safety gear (the yard has sharp metal and heavy parts)

Needed a part, found it here, and the price was fair. No fuss, no overcharging—just what I was looking for.

Grabbed a steering column here for my Charger, and it fit like it was made for the car. Price was way better than I expected—no haggling, just a straight-up good deal. If I need anything else for this old girl, this is where I’m coming back.

My son’s Dodge Avenger was throwing codes, and I needed two ignition coils. Called this place, asked for the parts, and the guy on the phone knew exactly what I was talking about. Drove over—only to realize I’d somehow ended up near Long Beach thanks to MapQuest sending me to the wrong street. Took me forever to backtrack, but once I got there, the staff didn’t make me feel like an idiot for being lost. In and out in minutes, slapped the coils in, cleared the codes, and the car ran like new. Lesson learned: double-check your address before you trust MapQuest.

This place mostly deals with insurance totaled cars, so the stuff they have isn’t junked because of blown engines or busted transmissions. They actually keep track of which transmissions come from which cars and how many miles they’ve got. I found a 66k-mile one for my car here, and I’ll update this once I get it swapped in. Don’t walk in expecting a showroom—it’s a dismantler, so it’s gonna look like one. But the guys working there know their stuff and don’t waste your time. If you need parts and don’t want to hunt all over, this is the spot.

Bought an intake manifold for my ’08 Caliber here for $150. The part was in stock, the guy on the phone knew what he was talking about, and they even delivered it for free within a few hours—big help since I only have one car. Downside? The thing was filthy, caked in oil. For $150, they could’ve at least wiped it down. New from Amazon would’ve been $270, but it’d take a week to get here, and I needed it yesterday. If you’re in a rush, this place works, but if you’ve got time, shop around—you might find a better deal.
