Overview

E & J Used Auto Parts at 12960 Alexandria Dr, Opa-locka, FL 33054

E & J Used Auto Parts is a self-service salvage yard in Opa-locka, Florida. Located at 12960 Alexandria Dr, it lets customers find and remove their own parts from wrecked vehicles. This u-pull-it yard is a go-to spot for DIY mechanics and car owners looking for affordable used parts without needing professional help. The business has been around for over 30 years, serving Miami-Dade County with a focus on quality parts at fair prices.

What to Know Before Visiting

E & J Used Auto Parts is a self-service yard, meaning customers browse and remove parts themselves. No staff assistance is provided for part identification or removal. You’ll find engines, transmissions, body panels, bumpers, interior pieces, and mechanical components like brakes and suspension. The yard also handles scrap metal and may take junk cars, though this isn’t clearly advertised.

Bring your own tools—wrenches, sockets, and possibly a jack—to remove parts. The yard doesn’t rent or provide equipment. Check part compatibility with your vehicle before buying, as prices are set per part or per car. There’s no online parts catalog, so you’ll need to visit in person to see what’s available.

If you’re looking to sell a junk car, E & J Used Auto Parts might buy it, but this isn’t confirmed. For cash-for-cars options in Opa-locka, call (305) 456-3335 to check.

Should’ve checked the reviews first. Drove three hours for a used engine after a quick email quote and a follow-up call. Got there, paid, and then sat around for over an hour just waiting for them to load it. The thing looked rough—rust, grime, leaks everywhere—but the guy, Jenfrey, seemed okay. We talked a bit, and he kept saying stuff like, *"You just swap the parts yourself,"* so I figured, *Fine, whatever, as long as it runs.* Got home, spent forever cleaning it, replacing gaskets, seals, the water pump—you name it. Even had to fix a melted knock sensor wire. Installed it, and the second it warmed up, it lost all power. Turns out there was an oil leak between the head and cylinder, burning oil onto the manifold. Called them, and the "warranty department" was a joke. Took forever just to get a replacement, and when I drove back, they made me wait *twenty minutes* three different times. Then, when I got the new one, they started taking parts off it like I was supposed to keep the trash they sold me the first time. And the kicker? They tried to charge me for the parts *I* had to remove because their "return" engine was missing them. After all that time, all that work, they wanted *more* money. Unbelievable. Took the broken engine home again because I wasn’t paying a dime extra. Never trusting this place again. Lesson learned—spend the extra cash elsewhere. ---

I can’t believe I wasted my time and money here. The place looks decent enough, but it’s all a front—they sell junk and then act like you’re the one being unreasonable when you complain. Tried to use the warranty? Forget it. They’ll string you along with "solutions" that only help *them*, not you. After reading other reviews, I see I’m not the only one who got screwed. If you’re standing there right now, reading this while you’re in the parking lot? Turn around and leave. This place is a total scam, and I mean that. Zero out of ten, no question. ---

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place is so bad I had to warn people. Paid $2,500 for a transmission, and the next day, they took it back, saying they had a week to find me a replacement. Big mistake trusting them. Called every single day for seven days, and every time, they’d say, *"It’s coming today."* Lies. After a week, I had no transmission, no refund, nothing. Just my money gone. And their customer service? Horrible. Either they’d hang up, yell at me, or act like *I* was the problem for asking about my own purchase. The whole setup is shady—fake company name, no real owner, no way to hold anyone accountable. They take your money, make empty promises, and disappear. Don’t do business here. Go somewhere legit.

E&J Used Auto Parts actually came through for me when no one else would. I’d been to a few other places, and they all gave me the wrong transmission. But these guys? First try, no issues. Ramon, their mechanic, was a huge help, and the rest of the staff was just as good. Don’t let the bad reviews fool you—if you need parts, these people will go out of their way to get it right. Highly recommend. ---

Bought an engine for a Promaster, and it was a total mess. Parts were broken, the crankshaft wouldn’t even turn all the way—just spun halfway and stopped. Called the salesperson, and they basically shrugged. No help, no fix, nothing. Had to cancel the credit card charge myself because they weren’t doing a damn thing. Still waiting on some kind of resolution, but I’m not holding my breath. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. ---
