Look, I’ve been bringing my scrap here for years, and I’ve never had to write a message like this before—but something’s seriously off. Three days ago, I sold Gracie copper and got $1.61 a pound. Today, I brought in the exact same stuff, same weight, and they tried to pay me $0.50 less. I had my old receipt, so I showed it to the guy at the desk. He didn’t even blink—just cut me a check for the $507 difference right then. That’s not how a one-time mistake works. That’s a system. And it’s not just me. Another customer walked in at the same time, receipt in hand, looking like they were fixing the same problem. The whole thing felt sketchy, like they’re used to people not catching it. As a woman in this business, I can’t help but wonder if they thought I wouldn’t notice. No one should have to play detective just to get paid what they’re owed. I’m done unless: - A manager calls me directly. - You explain *clearly* how payouts work so this doesn’t happen again. - You fix whatever’s broken so customers stop getting screwed. I’m waiting to hear back. ---

Twenty-five bucks for two stock catalytic converters off my mom’s Frontier? You’ve got to be kidding me. Twelve fifty a piece—*twelve fifty*—and I had to haggle just to get them up to fifteen. If you’re running a business by lowballing people who don’t know better, you’re the joke, not the customers. Take your “deals” and shove ‘em. There are better places to offload parts. ---

I don’t even bother with the other places anymore. The guys here actually talk to you like you’re a person, not just another transaction. They remember me, they ask how things are going, and it doesn’t feel like they’re just killing time until you leave. I don’t know if it’s real or if they’re just good at their jobs, but either way, it’s nice to walk in somewhere and not feel like an inconvenience. That’s why I keep coming back—because it doesn’t *feel* like work to them. ---

I pulled up at 3:39 with 600 pounds of scrap in my truck, and the gate was already locked. Already. Like, what am I supposed to do now? Unload it all, hope it doesn’t rain, and pray I can get back next week? If you don’t want to work late, just *say* that. Don’t leave customers hanging with a truck full of metal they can’t unload. It’s not hard.
