Overview

Euro Parts - Ellicott City, Maryland

Euro Parts is a self-service auto salvage yard in Ellicott City, Maryland. It specializes in European and domestic vehicle parts, operating on a u-pull-it model. Customers browse, select, and remove parts from donated or junked cars at their own pace. The yard focuses on European brands like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and Volkswagen but also carries parts for American and Asian vehicles. Only individual components are sold—no whole cars. Customers must bring their own tools and transportation. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The yard is closed on weekends.

Services & What to Expect

Euro Parts is a self-service salvage yard. Customers handle part selection and removal themselves. Staff do not assist with disassembly or installation. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Customers browse the lot, pick parts, and remove them using their own tools. No staff help is provided for part removal.
  • The inventory includes mostly European brands (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen) but also has domestic and some Asian parts.
  • Only individual components are sold—no whole cars. Parts include engines, transmissions, body panels, interior parts, and more.
  • Payment is made at the exit gate. Cash and major credit/debit cards are accepted.
  • Bring your own tools—wrenches, sockets, pry bars, and anything else needed for part removal. The yard does not provide tools.
  • You must transport parts away yourself. A trailer, truck, or large vehicle is best for bigger items like engines.

Euro Parts doesn’t buy old cars. For cash for junk cars, check other local salvage yards or recycling centers.

What Parts Are Available?

The selection changes often as new vehicles arrive. Common parts include:

  • Engines and transmissions (European and domestic)
  • Body panels (doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers)
  • Interior parts (seats, dashboards, trim)
  • Suspension and drivetrain (control arms, differentials, axles)
  • Electrical components (wiring harnesses, sensors, lights)
  • Exhaust systems and catalytic converters

Parts are sold as-is. Check them carefully before removal—some may need cleaning or testing.

Look, I called about a bumper I saw online, and the guy on the phone couldn’t even be bothered to help. I asked what condition it was in, and he just said, *"Not insurance quality."* What the hell does that even mean? I said, *"Can you at least look at it?"* Nope. *"Can I get the hardware if you take it off?"* Nope. Then he mumbles something about it being $150, like that’s supposed to make me care. Price doesn’t matter—if you don’t want to sell parts, just shut the place down. Waste of my time. ---

Tried to order parts for my shop, and the guy answered the phone like I was already annoying him. Before I could even say what I needed, he goes, *"I’m not driving all the way to Waldorf for a $75 order."* Never even asked what I was buying. That’s not how you run a business. Lost a customer over an attitude problem. ---

Honestly, these people saved me a huge headache. My son’s car got totaled, and I was stuck trying to figure out what to do with it. Called them about salvage, and they answered fast, gave me a fair price, and even helped set up the tow from the lot where it was sitting—racking up fees by the day. On top of that, their tow company, EC Towing, went above and beyond. My son needed to get to a bank because the tow yard wouldn’t take his credit card, and they drove him there. No joke, these are good people. If you’re in a bind, they’ll help. Wouldn’t hesitate to send anyone their way. ---

Bought a window regulator from Euro Parts Jessup, and it was busted. Called to return it, and every time, some different person answered, saying the guy who took my order wasn’t there. *"We’ll call you back."* Yeah, right. After three times of that, I just opened a dispute with my credit card. Used parts can be hit or miss, but if a place sells them, they should at least stand by their word. These guys didn’t. Now I’m out double on labor because the part didn’t work, and I’m not paying twice for a bad part too. Wouldn’t trust them again. ---

I don’t like knocking businesses, but this place was a mess. Asked for an ECM/PCM for a 2000 Honda Accord LX, 4-door, 3.0 V6. The mechanic grabbed the wrong one. I called to swap it, and the owner—whoever he was—flat-out refused. Didn’t even offer a refund, just the right part. I wasn’t asking for my money back, just what I paid for. Dude was rude, hung up on me. That’s not how you treat customers. If you mess up, own it. This place? Not worth the hassle.
