Holly Hill Salvage & Junk is a self-service auto salvage yard in Holly Hill, Florida. Customers can browse and remove parts from junked vehicles on their own. The yard is part of John’s Famous Auto Parts and carries a wide selection of used auto parts for DIY mechanics, car owners, and restoration projects. It’s a cash-and-carry operation—customers find, remove, and pay for parts themselves.
The yard is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM. It does not open on weekends or Sundays. While the main focus is selling parts, the yard also takes in junk cars for salvage. If you’re looking to sell an old vehicle, check local cash-for-cars programs first for better offers.
Services & What to Expect
Holly Hill Salvage & Junk is a self-service yard, meaning you handle the search, removal, and payment yourself. The inventory includes parts from domestic and foreign vehicles, though stock changes often. You’ll find engines, transmissions, body panels, bumpers, interior parts, and mechanical components. Tools for removal are usually available to rent or buy on-site.
How Self-Service Works
Find the part: Walk the yard to locate the vehicle and part you need. A parts catalog or online inventory (if available) may help, but browsing is often necessary.
Remove the part: Tools like wrenches, jacks, and pry bars are provided for rent or purchase. Some parts require disassembly, while others can be pulled directly.
Pay at checkout: Prices are set per part, and payment is made at the front counter before leaving. Tax may apply.
No appointments needed: Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. Call ahead if you’re unsure about inventory or part availability.
What to Bring

Gloves and safety gear (recommended but not required).
A list of the parts you need, along with the vehicle make and model.

Junk Car Acceptance
Holly Hill Salvage & Junk does take in junk cars, but it doesn’t run a public "cash for cars" program. If you want to sell an old, non-running, or totaled vehicle, call the yard first to confirm their policies on acceptance, tow fees, and payment. For better deals, local cash-for-cars services often offer competitive quotes and free towing.

Been coming here for 20 years, but lately, it’s been a headache. I used to just drop off loads without thinking, but now I check everything because the tare weight changes every time, even though I’m the only one using the truck. They’ve mislabeled aluminum before—ask what they’re calling it before you weigh in. And don’t even think about rolling past that stop sign (which is either hidden or upside down), or the guy with the loader will chase you down and make you wait forever. The guy who’s supposed to direct traffic is decent, but he’s never around. Oh, and the scales don’t even show you the weight—they just tell you what they want to pay. If you don’t believe me, I’ve got receipts from the same day proving it.

Stopped by here last week, and it was quick and easy. The staff was actually friendly, which is a nice change. No hassle, no waiting around—just in and out.

The guys working in the back of this place are straight-up obnoxious, yelling and cussing at customers like it’s their job. I’d rather haul my scrap to the dump and pay the fee than deal with their attitude. The ladies in the office are fine, but those two in the back are dragging the whole business down. If you hate your job that much, quit and find something where you don’t have to talk to people—or just retire already.

My brand-new Ram 1500 got wrecked by their skid steer last year, and they never even bothered to apologize or cover the damage. I didn’t push it because I know a lot of their family, but honestly, if it had been someone else, they’d be in deep trouble—especially if John Morgan got involved. They’re lucky I didn’t make a bigger deal out of it. I’m out $1,200, and I’m swallowing that cost just to keep my own reputation clean. The way they handled it was a joke. If you’ve got a nice car, don’t bring it here—they’ll scratch it up and won’t lift a finger to fix it. The woman in charge just told me, *"Joey, get him to fix it,"* like that was supposed to solve anything. Meanwhile, she never even tried to make it right. I run my own business, and when I mess up, I own it. Now I just toss scrap in the trash—it’s not worth the headache.
