What to Bring

  • Tools if you plan to remove parts yourself (some basic tools may be available)
  • Cash or a card for payment (confirm methods with the yard first)
  • A way to haul parts home (many are large and heavy)

Parts Available

The yard stocks a wide range of used parts for domestic and foreign vehicles, including:

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Body panels and frames
  • Interior parts (seats, dashboards, door panels)
  • Suspension and drivetrain components

Walked into this place thinking, "Okay, 20% restocking fee, whatever, I’ll deal." Brought back a cracked part they sold me—didn’t even notice until I got home. Told them, "Hey, it’s broken, can I return it?" Guy behind the counter just shrugged and said, "Nope, don’t do returns on that." Are you kidding me? Absolute joke of a business. Never setting foot in there again. ---

These guys have no clue how to treat customers. Zero effort, zero care. The boss needs to sit his employees down and explain what "customer service" actually means. Right now? It’s nonexistent. ---

Hit something on University last Monday, blew a tire, and found out the next day my wheel had holes in it. Tried 15 places—no one had my weird wheel size. Called HWY 5 Auto Salvage, and some guy (forgot his name) spent *ten minutes* on the phone with me, digging through other yards’ inventories. Found me the *only* exact match in the whole LTR area. Wish I could’ve bought it from them—would’ve been happy to. That’s how you treat a customer. ---

Bought a 2016 Dodge Caravan from these guys less than a month ago. Saw a note on the windshield about the transmission being "rebuilt," so we asked. Guy said, "Oh yeah, it’s fine, totally good to go." Test drove it, seemed solid. Now? Transmission’s shot. A month in. They *had* to have messed with it—no way it was fine during the test drive. Now I’m stuck with a van that won’t even drive. Don’t trust these people to sell you a car. We were gonna buy another one from them, but after this? No chance.

Went to Hwy 5 Auto Salvage for a simple air vent grill for my Camry. Guy at the counter said, "Yep, we’ve got it!" Cool, great—until he hit me with, "But I can’t grab it for you because everyone’s busy." At 3:30 PM. On a Friday. I even offered to wait outside so he could lock up and just *get the damn part himself*—it’s a 30-second job with a screwdriver. His excuse? "I gotta watch the phones." So phones are more important than the customer standing right in front of him? Unbelievable. Told me to come back Monday. For a part I could’ve ordered online in two clicks. Small businesses want local support? Not when they pull stunts like this. Save your time—just order online. ---
