Services & What to Expect

Intermountain Auto Recycling is a self-service salvage yard, meaning you handle the part removal yourself. The yard carries a variety of used auto parts, such as:

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Body panels and trim
  • Interior parts (seats, dashboards, etc.)
  • Airbag systems and suspension components
  • Exterior parts (bumpers, grills, etc.)

Parts come from vehicles dating back to the 1960s, with a focus on domestic brands like Ford, GMC, and Chrysler, along with some foreign models. All parts are checked for basic safety and function before being listed.

You’ll need to bring your own tools to remove parts—the yard doesn’t provide them or labor for removal. Staff can help you locate parts or answer questions, but you’re responsible for taking the part off the vehicle. Payment is made at the time of purchase.

I had a little trouble getting through on the phone, but once I talked to Jose, he was a lifesaver. He double-checked that the part I needed would actually fit my car and matched the paint color perfectly. When I couldn’t make it during their normal hours, they let me swing by later—no fuss. If you’re hunting for cheap, decent parts, this place is worth checking out. ---

Got a great deal on the part I needed, and the shipping to California was fair. Communication was quick and clear the whole way through. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience. ---

Drove 1,000 miles just to grab a rust-free truck bed from these guys, and it was 100% worth it. They sent me pictures ahead of time, and the thing looked *exactly* like it did online. Everyone there was super easy to talk to, and when it came time to load up, everything was ready to go—no waiting around. Already planning my next trip here for more parts. Seriously, can’t say enough good things. ---

The packaging here is an absolute joke. I complained, and they didn’t even bother responding. The UPS driver actually pointed out how badly taped the box was—it was that obvious. They wrapped the *edge* of the wheel in paper so it wouldn’t shift, but left the *face* of it bare against the cardboard. Three days of shipping, and the whole surface got scratched to hell. A single sheet of bubble wrap would’ve fixed it. But no, that’s “too much effort” for these people. Check eBay reviews if you don’t believe me—plenty of others had the same problem. ---

Found the best price online for the engine I needed, and it showed up in three days. The staff knew their stuff and made the whole process easy. After dealing with so many sketchy used-part sellers, this was the first time I actually felt like I got a fair shake. Won’t be looking anywhere else next time.
