Services & What to Expect

Jordan's Used Auto Parts is a self-service salvage yard. Customers handle part retrieval themselves, browsing the inventory, inspecting parts, and removing them with their own tools. The yard stocks a wide range of salvaged components, from common parts like engines and doors to less frequently needed items for older or specialty vehicles.

How Self-Service Works

  • Browse the yard to find the vehicle with your needed part.
  • Check the part’s condition before removal—parts are sold "as-is."
  • Bring your own tools to take the part off the vehicle.
  • Pay for the part at the office after removal.

What to Bring

  • Tools for part removal (wrenches, sockets, pry bars, etc.)
  • Gloves and safety gear (salvage yards can be dirty and hazardous)

  • Cash or card (depending on payment options)

Special Requests & Rare Parts

While the yard stocks common parts, staff can also help track down harder-to-find components. Call ahead to ask about specific parts or vehicles in stock. Jordan's works with Connecticut Scrap, an auto recycling operation, to source parts from a broader network of salvaged cars.

What kind of business just shuts down without a word to regulars? I’ve been coming here for years, and suddenly it’s closed with no warning. When I asked why, the only answer I got was, "Drive to Hartford." Yeah, no. If I could afford to go that far, I wouldn’t be digging through a scrapyard in the first place. Total disrespect to customers who actually supported the place. ---

Showed up at this junkyard to grab a bumper, spent two solid hours in the blazing sun wrestling the thing off my car. The sign by the entrance said bumpers were $40, so I brought exactly that. When I went to pay, the guy behind the counter pointed at the sign and said, "Oh, that’s old—prices went up." So I’m out $10 more after a trip to the ATM. Then he hits me with, "Wait, this one’s got lights in it, so you need to pay extra." After three hours and two ATM runs, I told him I didn’t even want the bumper anymore. He yanked it out of my trunk and tossed it on the ground like it was nothing. Absolute scam artists. Never stepping foot in this place again. ---

The yard’s actually pretty well organized—you can find some hidden gems if you look. There’s a Geo Storm or two, a few Stealths, and a whole row of Trackers. Saw a Honda B-Series engine in the back that’s mostly intact, though most of the fast import stuff is long gone. Prices are decent, and the $2 entry fee is worth it if you’re hunting for parts. Just bring your own tools and a cart if you’re hauling heavy stuff. The only real downsides? They don’t sell whole cars, which is a bummer—I’d love to check out that Omni’s VIN and see if it’s still salvageable. And they’ve crushed a ton of their 90s GM cars lately, so the selection’s thin. Still, plenty of solid Rangers in the back, so I’d give it a 4 out of 5. ---

This place is solid. Two bucks to get in, fair prices on parts, and no nonsense. Exactly what a junkyard should be. ---

If I could leave a bad review, I would. Drove an hour and a half because the guy *swore* he had the part I needed. Got there, waited in the office for an hour and a half, and they didn’t even have it. Five hours of my day, wasted. If you’re stuck waiting, at least the Subway by Citgo makes a decent sandwich. That’s the only bright spot in this whole mess.
