Let me tell you, I used to give this place a shot back in the day, but after calling seven times and getting hung up on every single time, I gave up. That was about nine years ago, and I haven’t trusted them since. Now I just order parts online—no point in dealing with people who won’t even talk to you. ---

Tried calling this place, and honestly, it was a mess. First, I got put on hold for 21 minutes, then some guy in Michigan picked up—only to hang up on me. Finally, a woman answered and actually helped, giving me the local number in California. But honestly? I doubt anyone who works there even cares about this review. ---

This place is a disaster. Trash everywhere—inside, outside, you name it. Nobody bothered to tell us our room wouldn’t be cleaned. The shower didn’t even drain. Then, in the morning, some employee yelled at us for asking where the bathroom was while he was eating in there. And the elevator on the west side? Don’t even think about it—it’s ancient and disgusting. I’m done here. ---

Bought a transmission with a one-year warranty, and they had it to me in less than a month. Seemed great at first. Then it died. Called to get it replaced, and that’s when they hit me with the fine print: I had to take it to a mechanic, have *them* tell LKQ it was broken, and *then* they’d start the warranty process. Nobody mentioned that when I bought the thing. I dropped $900 on this, and now I’m stuck paying even more to fix it. If I’d known I’d have to jump through hoops just to get my warranty honored, I never would’ve gone through them. And I sure as hell won’t again. ---

Here’s my warning to anyone thinking about buying from LKQ: I paid $1,639 for a transmission with a six-month warranty. A month in, it completely failed on the highway—dropped me from 70 mph to 5 mph. My car had to be towed, and I was stuck with extra costs for labor, fuel, and lost time. I called LKQ to fix this, and they sent me to some guy named Jax Pérez. He ignored my calls for days. When I finally got through from another number, he was rude, aggressive, and clearly trying to brush me off. After hounding them, they told me to return the transmission to Redding, California. I did, got a receipt, and was promised a refund in three days. A week later, no refund—and when I called, they said my claim was denied. No explanation. Then Jax Pérez had the nerve to say, *“It’s your word against mine,”* like I was making this up. I returned a broken part, paid for a warranty, and they refused to give me my money back. That’s fraud. I’ve already filed complaints with the FTC and BBB, but LKQ won’t even respond. Now I’m taking this to the California Department of Consumer Affairs and looking into legal action. This company broke their own warranty, refused a refund, and treated me like garbage. I’m not letting this go until I get my money back—and neither should anyone else who’s been screwed over by them. Spread the word.
