Services & What to Expect

LKQ Pick Your Part - Ontario is a self-service salvage yard. Customers find and remove their own parts, though staff can help locate items or answer questions. The inventory includes vehicles from different makes and models, with parts ranging from engines and transmissions to body panels and interior components.

How Self-Service Works

  • Browse the yard: Walk through rows of vehicles to find the parts you need. Parts are grouped by vehicle type, but some searching may be required.
  • Select your parts: Once you find a part, check it over to make sure it fits your needs. Staff can confirm compatibility if needed.
  • Pay for parts: Bring your selected parts to the payment counter. Prices are set per part, and payment is due before removal.
  • Remove the part: Use the provided tools to take the part off the vehicle. The yard offers basic tools, but you may need to bring your own for specific jobs.
  • Leave with your part: Once removed, the part is yours to take. No appointment is needed—it’s first-come, first-served.

What to Bring

  • Cash, debit, or credit card for payment (the yard takes major payment methods).
  • Tools for part removal, like wrenches, sockets, or pry bars (the yard has basic tools, but you may need specialized equipment).
  • A vehicle to transport the part (some parts are large or heavy).
  • Gloves and safety gear—the yard involves handling metal and sharp edges.
  • A list of the parts you need, including the make, model, and year of the vehicle they came from.

Parts Available

The yard carries a wide range of used auto parts, including:

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Body panels (doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers)
  • Interior components (seats, dashboards, trim)
  • Suspension and steering parts (control arms, ball joints, tie rods)
  • Braking system parts (calipers, rotors, brake pads)
  • Electrical components (alternators, starters, wiring harnesses)
  • Exhaust system parts (mufflers, catalytic converters, oxygen sensors)

The selection changes daily as vehicles are added and removed. Common parts and popular models are usually in stock.

Kenneth showed up to tow our car today, and man, he made the whole thing easy. Dude was polite, explained everything step by step, and didn’t make it feel like a hassle at all. If you’re selling a car to a junkyard, ask for him—he’s the real deal. ---

Let me tell you, this place is a total scam. The guy at the front desk is the kind of rude that makes you want to turn around and leave right away. They’ll lie straight to your face about having parts just to get your $3 entry fee. I drove over an hour because their website said they had what I needed—a front bumper and hood for my car. I even double-checked with the attendant, who *swore* they had it. Paid $6 for two people to walk in, and guess what? The car they said had my parts was missing its whole front end. No bumper, no hood, nothing. When I told the guy he’d lied to me, he just shrugged and said, “Inventory isn’t always updated.” Yeah, right. I asked for my money back—since I wouldn’t have even stepped foot in there if he’d been honest—but he refused. “You paid to enter, so too bad.” Like I *wanted* to waste my time and gas money at a junkyard. This place is a joke. Hope the $6 was worth the headache for them. ---

If you’re hunting for parts, this yard’s got a decent spread—cars, trucks, vans, you name it. They’ll even pull parts for you if you don’t want to dig through the mess yourself. Just swing by later to grab what they found. Inventory on the app isn’t always current, so don’t get too hung up on what it says online. Oh, and they’ve got tools for sale in the lot and a food truck if you’re there for a while. Good luck finding what you need! ---

I don’t do reviews, but Lailany deserves a shout-out for making the whole car-turn-in process a breeze. From the first call to the last paperwork, she was friendly, patient, and on top of everything. Not a lot of places have people who actually *care* about helping you out—she answered all my questions, kept me updated, and made sure I didn’t have to stress over anything. Rare to find service like that these days.

It’s fine, I guess. Not amazing, not terrible. The cars aren’t sorted by make anymore, which is annoying when you’re trying to track something down. Their online system is so outdated it’s basically useless—half the stuff I looked up wasn’t even there. But hey, they’ve got some older rides kicking around, which was a nice surprise. Saw a few HEMIs, a bunch of LS engines, even a 440. No 5.0 Windsors or Coyotes, though. Plenty of turbos lying around if that’s what you’re after. The workers were actually pretty helpful. Hadn’t been here in ten years, and it’s… about what I expected. ---
