Services & What to Expect
LKQ West Florida is a self-service junkyard, meaning you handle the selection and removal of parts yourself. The yard provides basic tools like wrenches and jacks, but you should bring your own if you need something specific. Staff will help with checkout and ensure parts are accounted for.

I’ve been waiting 42 minutes with no response. This is ridiculous. LKQ needs to look into this branch and fix it—fast.

I called ahead to reserve a part, and that went smooth as butter. When I got to the Bonifay location, I waited for someone to help me, asked if they could double-check the part was the right one—but they didn’t bother. Still, I bought it anyway because I needed it fast. Turns out, it was the right part. I brought back the core for the $25 refund, but the guy who usually handles that wasn’t at the counter. Some woman in the office said she’d take care of it and if there was a problem, I should call back. That’s weird—if she already did it, why mention problems? It’s been a week and a half, and I still haven’t gotten my money. I actually liked this place until now. If you say you’re gonna do something, just do it. I shouldn’t have to keep calling to fix something you should’ve handled the first time.

Seventeen minutes in, and all I got was a quick “hold on” before they hung up. We spend thousands with this company every month, but the service is trash most of the time. Ordering parts? Fine. Getting our core refund? Forget it. You’ll call and call, only to get pushed around, told lies like “the driver came” or “your core fell over”—when we’ve got cameras proving none of that happened. They’ll ignore you for days, then expect you to keep calling. We’ve switched to ordering from the Fort Myers office just to get decent service. Bonifay? A total joke.

When Steve was running things, we used to buy $35K to $40K worth of parts from them every year. Now that he’s gone, we’ve tried working with the new people a few times, but it never works out. We haven’t ordered a single part from them in the last 18 months.
