Dropped off four huge bags of cans and got a measly $13 for them. That’s a joke. I’ve taken cleaner aluminum here before, and they even marked it as dirty on the receipt. Don’t bother with this place—Elizabethtown’s recycling center pays way better. Save yourself the hassle and go there instead. ---

My county road got shut down after six years—turns out it was too narrow for the speed demons flying down it. Guess the county finally had enough of the accidents waiting to happen. ---

Hauled in a full Chevy S-10 bed of crushed aluminum to Mid-State a couple weeks back, and they lowballed me—again. Called the office, and they basically told me to prove I had what I said I had. Been recycling metal since ’97, and I know my stuff. Their workers are crooked, and the office backs them up. They never show you the scale weight, so you have no idea if they’re ripping you off. I’m done with Mid-State—no one should support a place that steals from the people keeping them in business. ---

Pulled up right before closing, and the guy working acted like I’d just ruined his whole day. I asked if I should come back tomorrow, but he just started unloading his own truck full of cans while we helped him rush. Then he grunted out a thanks like it pained him. Thirty-plus pounds of clean aluminum used to get me $30 cash at other places, but this dump gave me an $11 check—after fees, I’m left with $8. Absolute robbery. I’d rather toss it than waste time getting cheated. Someone should shut this place down. ---

Got there two minutes before closing, and the girl working stayed to help me out—didn’t have to, but she did. Super friendly, too. I’ll be back for sure.
