Overview

North Verde Auto Salvage - Ontario, Oregon

North Verde Auto Salvage is a self-service auto salvage yard in Ontario, Oregon. Customers can find used auto parts, scrap metal, and other automotive components here. The yard follows a "u-pull-it" model, meaning you locate and remove parts yourself. It’s a good spot for DIY mechanics, car owners needing repairs, or anyone looking to salvage materials. The yard is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on weekends.

Services & What to Expect

North Verde Auto Salvage is a self-service yard, so you’re responsible for finding and removing parts from vehicles on-site. The business doesn’t offer part retrieval, so bring your own tools and be ready to do the work yourself.

What You Can Find

The yard carries a variety of used auto parts, including:

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Body panels and bumpers
  • Interior parts like seats, dashboards, and door panels
  • Suspension and drivetrain components
  • Electrical parts such as wiring harnesses, sensors, and lights
  • Scrap metal and other salvageable materials
Parts come from donated, abandoned, or totaled vehicles. Availability changes often, and the yard doesn’t list inventory online, so you’ll need to visit to check for what you need.

How Self-Service Works

To use North Verde Auto Salvage, follow these steps:

  1. Visit during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). The yard is closed on weekends.
  2. Find the part you need. Vehicles are grouped by make, model, and year, but the layout isn’t always clear. Ask staff for help if you’re unsure where to look.
  3. Remove the part yourself. Bring tools like wrenches, sockets, pry bars, and safety gear (gloves, goggles). Some parts may require cutting or welding, which you’ll handle on your own.
  4. Pay for the part. Pricing includes a core charge (a refundable deposit) and the part’s condition. The core charge is usually $20–$100, depending on the vehicle. You’ll get a refund minus the part’s cost when you return the core (if it applies).
  5. Take the part with you. You’re responsible for transporting it off-site.

The yard doesn’t sell parts by mail or offer delivery. All sales are final, and parts are sold "as-is" with no warranties or returns.

What to Bring

Plan ahead for your visit by bringing:

  • Tools for dismantling (wrenches, sockets, pry bars, cutters, etc.)
  • Safety gear (gloves, goggles, steel-toe boots)
  • A vehicle or trailer to haul parts away
  • Cash or a debit/credit card (the yard takes major cards)
  • A list of the parts you need, including make, model, and year
Staff can point you in the right direction but won’t retrieve parts for you.

I sold them my beat-up truck—it was basically scrap, and I wasn’t happy about the $200 they offered. But hey, it was junk, so I couldn’t complain too much. Then I asked for a hat as a little bonus, and they gave it to me for free. That small thing turned my whole mood around. Thanks for making a crappy day a little better, guys. ---

Honestly, this junkyard is a lifesaver when you’re hunting for car parts. Most of the time, they’ve got what you’re looking for, and if they don’t, they’ll track it down for you. The 90-day guarantee they stand by is solid—no hassle if something’s wrong. ---

I called every junkyard in the Treasure Valley, and nobody came close to their prices. Seriously, I was shocked. On top of that, they were actually nice to talk to and didn’t waste my time. Big thanks to them for saving me money and being decent people. ---

The folks here are straight-up helpful. No nonsense, just good service. I’ll be back next time I need a part that’s hard to find—no question. ---

The place is fine for parts, I guess. They pull the stuff for you, so you don’t have to dig through cars yourself, which is nice. But one guy kept messing up my name on purpose, laughing with his coworkers like it was some big joke. Not cool. Grow up and act professional. Other than that, it’s an alright spot.
