Look, I don’t care about the rest of the crew—just send the one guy who always handles my metal. He’s the only one I trust to get it right. ---

First time here, and honestly? It wasn’t half bad. The whole process was straightforward—no weird hoops to jump through. Got what I needed done, got paid, and left. Not gonna call it amazing, but it did the job without any major headaches. ---

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I showed up at OmniSource with my mom’s wrecked shed. The tree that fell on it turned the whole thing into a twisted mess of metal, and I just wanted it gone. Since I’d never been to a scrapyard before, I figured I’d be lost, but the guys there made it simple. They walked me through the whole thing—weighing the van, unloading the scrap, getting paid—no fuss. First trip took a while because the place was busy, but when I came back later that same morning, it was dead quiet. Got in and out in under 10 minutes that time. Not gonna lie, I was impressed. They moved fast, didn’t overcomplicate things, and actually paid me for the junk. For a scrapyard, that’s about as good as it gets. ---

I’d give zero stars if I could. Just left, and the whole thing was a disaster. Had a ton of scrap to drop off, but they made it impossible. My wife parked in the wrong spot—no big deal, she was moving it—but some black guy with a gold tooth came storming out, calling her an idiot. I told him to back off, that you don’t talk to people like that, especially not customers. Then he got in my face like he wanted to fight. I kept my cool, apologized for the parking, but that’s no way to treat anyone. And the other employees? Just stood there watching like it was a show. No one stepped in to help. After that, I’m done. Won’t be back, no matter how much scrap I’ve got. ---

Every time I come here, it’s a good visit. The lot’s always clean—you can tell they actually sweep it—and the new signs pointing where to go are a huge help. The staff knows me by name now, which is nice. If I need the crane to haul something off, they’re on it. Last month, I brought in a box of long johns for the crew, and I usually toss in snacks or household stuff when I can. Little things, but it’s the kind of place where it matters.
