Pick-n-Pull is a self-service auto salvage yard in Windsor where customers find and remove their own used car parts. The yard uses a "u-pull-it" model—you locate the part you need, take it off the vehicle yourself, and pay by weight. This location at 10475 Old Redwood Hwy offers a budget-friendly alternative to dealership parts, with no membership fees or labor costs. The yard takes vehicles in any condition for donation but doesn’t publicly list cash-for-cars offers. Hours start earliest on weekends, with Sunday and Saturday openings at 8:00 AM.

Services & What to Expect

What to Bring

Visitors should bring:

  • Hand tools (if you prefer your own over the yard’s)
  • Gloves and safety gear (recommended for protection)
  • A vehicle to haul the part (parts aren’t shipped)
  • Cash or a payment method the yard accepts (exact options aren’t listed online)

Vehicle Donation & Cash for Cars

Pick-n-Pull accepts vehicle donations but doesn’t advertise a cash-for-cars program on its website. If you want to sell a junk car, call the yard at (707) 838-4691 to check availability and pricing. For a clearer process, consider selling through a verified service that gives upfront quotes.

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Body panels and bumpers
  • Interior parts (seats, dashboards)

Got my car towed out on December 29th, 2025, and totally blanked on giving the driver the payment. He called Pick N Pull, I confirmed my address over the phone, and they said they’d mail the check. Fast forward to January 13th, 2026—two weeks later—and I’m still waiting. Every time I call, I get bounced around like a ping-pong ball, with some lady finally telling me the check was never mailed. Now I’m stuck driving an hour to pick it up *or* waiting even longer for them to fix their own mess. Two weeks ago, I was on the phone with them *verifying* the mailing address, and somehow it still didn’t happen. Unbelievable. ---

What kind of business asks you to check in, then doesn’t even know if they have what you’re looking for? You tell them the vehicle, they say it’s $4 to go in, take your money, and then—surprise—it’s not there. And of course, there’s a big sign saying *all sales are final* (as if I bought anything). Why not just ask upfront, *“What are you looking for?”* and then say, *“Hey, we don’t have that, but here’s what we do have”*? Instead, it’s like they’re setting you up to waste your time and money. Feels more like a scam than a junkyard. ---

This Pick N Pull location is the worst in the Bay Area, hands down. I’ve talked to corporate, I’ve talked to management—nothing changes. The manager here? A total joke. Employees talk down to customers, threaten people at the register, even out in the yard. I’ve been yelled at multiple times just for trying to spend money there. And don’t get me started on the closing time—they kick you out 45 minutes early but keep the register open until the last second. Oh, and good luck with your tools. They’ll “inspect” your bags and boxes so roughly, you’ll be lucky if anything survives. Avoid this place if you can. ---

$200 for a throttle body that’s $70 online? Are you kidding me? I get that salvage yards mark up parts, but this is just ridiculous. Why pay double for something you can buy new for less? If you’re gonna reuse parts, at least price them fairly. This place is straight-up gouging customers, and it’s not worth it.

Honestly, Pick-n-Pull made the Bay Area District Vehicle Buyback Program so much easier than I expected. The staff kept things moving, answered my questions, and didn’t waste my time. I showed up with all my paperwork, and the whole thing was done in under two hours—no smog check, no haggling, no stress. Walked away with $2,000 for my old car, and I didn’t have to deal with any of the usual headaches. If you’re selling a car, this is the way to do it. No fuss, no nonsense. Big thanks to the team for making it simple. ---
