Overview

Pull N Save West Valley - Salt Lake City, Utah

Pull N Save West Valley is a self-service auto salvage yard in Salt Lake City where customers remove their own parts from junked vehicles. The yard runs on a "u-pull-it" system—you find the part, take it, and pay by weight. It’s a go-to spot for DIY mechanics, car enthusiasts, and drivers on a budget. The yard is open six days a week, with weekday hours running from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and shorter Sunday hours from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Services & What to Expect

Pull N Save West Valley is a self-service yard, meaning you handle the part removal yourself. The yard stocks used auto parts from domestic and foreign cars, trucks, and SUVs. You’ll find engines, transmissions, body panels, bumpers, doors, and interior pieces like seats and dashboards. To get started, check in at the office for instructions. A scale weighs parts as you remove them, and you pay by the pound. Tools are available to rent on-site, though some customers bring their own. The yard doesn’t sell pre-removed parts—you locate, disassemble, and take what you need.

The yard also buys junk cars for salvage. If you have an old vehicle you no longer need, they may take it for parts. For details, visit our cash for junk cars page.

Walked in, dropped three bucks, signed a paper, and was free to dig through the graveyard of cars. Some are total write-offs, others just need a little love—plenty of gray-market parts if you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty. The front desk crew was actually nice, which is a bonus in a place like this. Didn’t even need parts this time, just scouted for a future project. Good to know where to come back when I do. ---

Won’t be caught dead here again. Prices on the phone? Yeah, right—walk out the door and suddenly it’s more. And don’t even get me started on the “warranty” they slap on without asking. Stood at the counter for ten minutes with a radio, no help, just two employees glued to their phones. Bumper and grill ended up costing as much as new. Bring your own lawyer—or at least a calculator. ---

Asked upfront what came with the rear diff—got a full list: rotors, brake pads, calipers, the works. Loaded it myself (no weekend help, so yeah, it was a workout). Paid and left, only to realize later I’d forgotten a few bolts and plates. Called corporate, they confirmed it was all included. Drove back, got transferred around, and suddenly they’re telling me I owe the $3 entry fee *and* $6 a pop for the missing parts. Manager threw in a 25% discount like that’s supposed to fix it. Other yards let you grab forgotten stuff no problem. Won’t be back. ---

Staff was great—super friendly and actually helpful, which is rare. Didn’t find everything I needed, but the car I’m after isn’t exactly common. Three-dollar entry fee is a steal compared to other places, and they’ve got a huge selection that turns over fast. Worth checking back if you’re hunting for parts. Thanks again for the good experience! ---

The layout’s solid, easy to navigate. Only gripe? One row had two cars I wanted to check out, but they’d already been sold—still listed online as available. Otherwise, being able to see inventory ahead of time is a lifesaver, especially since I’m three hours away. Saves a lot of wasted trips.
