Been dealing with this place for years, but this time I finally caught them in the act. I brought in two bundles of #2 copper wire—had the kid at the small scale weigh the first one, and he called it 5 pounds. Never even got around to weighing the second bundle, but I *know* it was heavier. Later, when I checked my ticket, they only paid me for 3 pounds. **Three.** I had at least ten, easy. Not the first time I’ve felt shorted, but this was the first time I had proof. And it’s weird how they hide the scale so you can’t see what it actually says while your stuff’s on there. The people working the floor are fine, but something’s off in the back office. ---

This place is the real deal—way better than East Wilson, and the price per ton is always fair. These guys have had my business for years, and they’ve earned it. No complaints here.

Called about selling an old pickup, and they said to text my address—they’d come grab it. Guy showed up, but then said he forgot his checkbook. Asked if he could mail me a check, and when I gave him my PO box, he never followed through. Two months of calling, no answer. **Update:** Finally went down there in person, and they *did* pay up. But that’s not how it should’ve gone. ---

Honestly, the folks here are super nice—always willing to help and answer questions. The prices are solid too. Only thing that’s a pain is the space. If you’ve got a big truck and trailer, it’s a tight squeeze to maneuver in there. We’ve had to back out and reposition a few times just to fit. ---

I’ve been hauling scrap iron for 15 years, and I *know* when my truck’s sitting low—that means it’s loaded. But when I pulled in, they didn’t even bother writing down the weight when I drove on or off. Just scribbled “1900 lbs” on the ticket. No way that’s right. And why the hell don’t they have a digital scale where I can see the weight myself? They might pay a little more per ton, but if they’re just making up numbers, it don’t matter. I’d give zero stars if I could. They need to show the driver the scale reading outside, like every other decent scrap yard. Absolute crooks. I’d rather burn my truck than go back there. ---
