I’ve dealt with bad customer service before, but this place takes the cake. No one seemed to have a clue what was going on, and I ended up wasting 45 minutes of my time. First, they made me wait 20 minutes just to tell me I’d have to wait another 20 for someone to help me—except it actually took way longer. The whole time, workers just walked right past me like I wasn’t even there. Don’t bother with this place. Alter’s Metal Salvage is way better—they actually know what they’re doing and don’t leave you hanging. ---

Yeah, it’s a scrap yard—don’t expect it to look like a showroom. But if you’re hunting for a specific piece of steel for a project, this is one of the better spots. I grabbed an 11-gauge, 32x92-inch piece of mild steel for $48. At a metal supplier, that same piece would’ve run me over $120—before tax and shipping. I checked the numbers myself.

I didn’t have to hunt around for help—someone was right there to assist me when I walked in. The ladies in the office were friendly and easy to talk to, no fuss at all. I’ll definitely be back to work with them again. ---

If you’ve got scrap metal to sell, this is the spot. The prices here are always fair, better than most other places I’ve tried. And the guys working there? They’re good with my kids when I bring them along. But if you’re looking for someone to hold your hand over the phone, you’re better off calling your mom instead. ---

I’d give this place zero stars if I could. The woman who answered the phone was downright rude, and I have no idea how they’re averaging five stars when there’s clearly a one-star review mixed in. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. ---
