The folks working at the yard on 11/26/25 were a breath of fresh air—knew their stuff, didn’t waste my time, and actually seemed happy to help. Not the usual "just get in and get out" vibe you get at some places. Made the whole process way smoother than I expected. Really appreciate that kind of service. ---

New Albany’s yard beats the two in Louisville hands down. The place is actually clean—no junk piled everywhere, no rusted-out cars blocking the aisles. And the staff? All of them friendly, no attitude, no "what do you want?" looks. Feels like they actually want you there. ---

Haven’t even dropped off the fridge yet, but I’m already giving them four stars just for taking it. Every other place I called said no way, but these guys didn’t bat an eye. Don’t care if they pay me a dollar or nothing—just glad someone’s willing to haul this thing away. If they’re half as decent in person as they were on the phone, I’ll bump it to five. Finally, someone doing me a solid. ---

Pulled in, got weighed, then had to wait while the guy fiddled with his scale and "cleared a spot." Already doubting this was worth the hassle—two sliced tires ain’t cheap, and I wasn’t about to lose money on a trailer load of scrap. Backed in, then he tells me I’m in the wrong spot. Dude gave zero clear instructions, just vague hand signals like I’m supposed to read his mind. After that mess, I just turned around and went to Red Ball. Not worth the headache.

Wasted a 20-minute drive for nothing. Showed up at 11:45, right before noon, and some guy barely looked up from his phone to tell us we were too late. Website said they’re open till 12, but sure, guess we’re just supposed to know they close early. There was one other customer there, and they were already done—no line, no rush, just this guy being lazy. Next time, I’m taking my scrap somewhere that actually follows their own hours. ---
