What to Know Before You Visit

Rock City Auto Parts is a self-service salvage yard, meaning you handle the work yourself. The staff doesn’t remove parts for you, so bring your own tools. You’ll find a mix of domestic and foreign vehicle parts here, including engines, transmissions, body panels, interior components, and mechanical parts.

How Self-Service Works

  • No appointment needed—just walk in during business hours.
  • Bring your own tools. You’ll need wrenches, sockets, or cutters, depending on the part.
  • Parts are priced by the pound. Weigh your selection at checkout.
  • Parts are sold as-is, with no guarantees or returns.
  • Payment is accepted in cash or card, but check with staff first to confirm.

What to Bring With You

Plan ahead with these essentials:

  • A list of the parts you need, including the vehicle’s make, model, and year.
  • Tools like wrenches, sockets, pry bars, or cutters.
  • Gloves and safety gear—some parts are sharp or dirty.
  • A way to haul parts home. Many components are heavy and bulky.

Look, I’ll keep this short—Rock City Auto Parts is the real deal. Need wheels? They’ve got ’em. We picked up some Honda rims, and they were solid, no nonsense. The place moves fast, the prices are fair, and you won’t waste time running around to other shops. First stop, last stop. Simple as that. ---

I don’t usually bother with reviews, but this one’s different. Bought an engine from Kevin at the start of the year, paid up front. Two months later, my bank hits me with another charge for the same amount. Called him, got the money back in a couple days—no big deal. Then, a few months after that, *bam*, same charge again. This time, I’ve been waiting a month for a callback. He keeps saying he’ll call back in five minutes, but it never happens. I’m not the type to nag, but come on. It’s been a month, and I’ve only reached out three or four times. At this point, it’s just frustrating. ---

Mike and the whole team at Rock City Auto Parts made this whole process smooth. They kept me updated every step of the way—when parts were in, when they’d be ready, no surprises. Kevin even took the time to walk me through ordering other salvaged parts later on and pointed me to some good spots to look. Honestly, couldn’t ask for better service. Thanks, guys. ---

Took my car in to junk it, and Kevin quoted me $400 over the phone after I gave him all the details. Then I show up with the car, and suddenly he’s talking over me, cutting me off, making up problems that weren’t there. First, he claims the car’s got more issues than I said—total lie. Then, after glancing under it for two seconds, he’s saying there’s an aftermarket exhaust, like I’m some idiot who’d modify a dealer-stock car I’ve only owned for a year. Next thing I know, the offer’s dropped to $350, and he’s been a jerk the whole time. Don’t waste your time here, especially if you have to deal with *him*. Avoid. ---

I’ve been coming back to this place for parts, and it’s always a good move. Picked up a used engine that’s still running strong, and the price was way better than anywhere else for the miles on it. Today, grabbed a power steering pump—again, cheaper than every other place, including that overpriced LKQ. Even snagged a used tire for $20 that looks brand new. No reason to go anywhere else. I’ll be back.
