Honestly, the guys working there were fine—no issues with them at all. But if you don’t double-check your change before walking out, you’re gonna get screwed. I’ve had the lady at the window short me before. So yeah, I’d give it 2.5 stars, tops. ---

I’ve been to a ton of recycling places—over 10—and this is the only one that’s ever given me nothing but problems. Every. Single. Time. Common sense? Gone. I keep going back like an idiot. This time, I just wanted to drop off a couple of old appliances. Some employee there threatened to “beat the hell out of me” and then “do God knows what.” I told him I wasn’t into that. Unbelievable.

Never going back to that place. Zero stars, no question. First time there, and I already messed up by not following some rule I didn’t even know about. Dude told me to come back the next day when I could “follow the rules.” Seriously? Drove 55 miles to Selma for this? Don’t bother. ---

Absolute worst scrap yard I’ve ever dealt with. Don’t even think about going there. The workers are rude, condescending, and the woman at the window is the worst. You show up with no idea what to do because all you get when you call is a prerecorded message with their hours and some useless scrap price update. No price lists, no clear rules on what they take—you might drive all that way just to get turned away for something another yard would’ve taken. And the help? Clueless. They don’t know their metals, they’ll lowball you, and half the time they’re just guessing on prices. Bottom line: never take your scrap here again. ---

I was in a rush and figured I’d try Rowley’s scrap yard instead of the Selma one—big mistake. We got there before 3:30, well before their cutoff time, but they just left us sitting at the gate. No warning, no sign, nothing. Some random customer had to yell across the lot to tell us they’d closed early because “they had something to do.” The woman at the desk didn’t say a word, just acted like we were wasting her time. And get this—we’d called earlier that day to check prices, and she didn’t mention closing early then, either. No Facebook post, no heads-up, just rudeness. The owner’s a joke, and the front desk lady acts like she’s too good for everyone. No wonder they can’t keep staff. ---
