Services & What to Expect

SA Recycling provides three main services: a self-service u-pull-it yard, scrap metal recycling, and used auto parts. The yard runs on a first-come, first-served basis during business hours—no appointment is needed. Customers can enter to find and remove parts from junked vehicles, but they should bring their own tools if they need more than basic hand tools, which are usually on-site.

Self-Service U-Pull-It Yard

The u-pull-it yard is open to the public during operating hours. Customers can browse and remove parts like engines, transmissions, and body panels at their own pace. Inventory changes often, so what’s available varies. The yard doesn’t supply tools beyond basic hand tools, so visitors should bring their own if they need specialized equipment. Prices are set by the yard and marked on vehicles or available from staff.

Scrap Metal Recycling

SA Recycling takes scrap metal from vehicles, appliances, and other sources. Free estimates are available for pickup services, which can help with large quantities. The yard follows standard recycling practices. Customers should call ahead to confirm pickup availability, especially for big loads.

Used Auto Parts

While the yard is mostly self-service, some used auto parts may be available for direct purchase from staff. These parts are usually listed at the front desk or in a designated area. Inventory changes often, so calling ahead is a good idea if you’re looking for something specific. The yard doesn’t buy junk cars, but you can check out local cash-for-cars buyers in Marietta if you need to sell one.

Customer Experience

Reviews at SA Recycling are mixed. Some customers like the fair pricing and friendly staff, especially the weigh-in booth attendants. Others mention issues like trouble finding the entrance or scrap metal pricing. Truckers warn that Loudermilk Drive has railroad tracks that can damage large trailers, so they recommend avoiding it.

The people at the front desk act like they’re doing you a favor just taking your money, and honestly, the prices they give for your scrap don’t add up. I’m not wasting my time here again—there’s got to be better places that treat customers right and pay fair. ---

Simple as that—this place has the best deals on parts. If you’re buying from them, you’re getting a fair shake every time. No hidden fees, no nonsense, just good prices. That’s all you need to know. ---

No question, this is the only scrap yard I’ll ever go to. The prices are unbeatable, and the staff? Top-notch. I’ve been coming here for five years now, and the woman at the weigh-in booth—she’s the real deal. Always polite, always professional, never makes you feel like you’re wasting her time. The guys inside handling the extra metal are just as good. Wish they’d wear name tags, though, so I could thank the right people by name. They’re the reason this place runs so smoothly. ---

**To the truckers reading this:** If you’re hauling a 53-foot trailer, *do not* take Loudermilk Drive. There are railroad tracks there, and if you’re not careful, you’ll get stuck—or worse, like me, rip a trailer leg clean off. I made it through empty, no problem, but after loading up, I went back the same way and *bam*—leg gone, cross members wrecked. Nearly $3,500 in repairs because of it. The shipper never warned me, either. They’re nice enough, but they clearly don’t care about this hazard. Giving them three stars just because the people there are decent, but seriously, avoid that route. Turn left right when you leave the shipper—it’s the long way, but at least you won’t get stranded. ---

The women handling the recycled materials were super friendly, which made the whole process easier. The only headache was figuring out where the entrance even was—we had to call just to get pointed in the right direction. Still, once we got there, it was worth the hassle. Would drop off again.
