Honestly, if you’re hauling a full truckload, be ready to wait a bit—they take their time getting everything loaded. The dock for trailers is right off the main road where you turn in to hit the scale, so at least that part’s easy to find. Compared to other scrap yards I’ve been to, this one’s actually pretty clean. And busy? Yeah, it’s always got people coming and going. ---

I showed up with two other people ahead of me, and we all just sat there for over an hour and a half before I even got to the cashier. When I finally did, my slip said *sheet metal* instead of *aluminum*—which was what I brought. They sent me back to the weigher, then back to the office to wait for someone else to finish, and guess what? The slip was still wrong. At that point, I just walked out and let them keep the metal and the money. The whole place only lets one person in the office at a time, so if you’re outside waiting, you’re stuck baking in the sun with no shade or seats. It was 90 degrees out, and the whole thing was a total waste of my time and energy. I’m not coming back. ---

The guy running the retail yard was really patient and helpful, and the woman at the cash register inside was super nice and knew her stuff. I’m a 30-something who’s never done e-recycling before, and they made the whole thing so easy I didn’t even feel out of place. ---

Every single person we talked to was friendly and actually made the whole process smooth. They gave clear directions, everything moved fast, and honestly, it was the easiest—and cheapest—place I’ve found to get rid of old TVs.

If you don’t care about your time, sure, go here. They don’t seem to care about anyone who isn’t a truck driver or one of their employees. After noon—by the way, they shut the whole place down for a half-hour lunch at noon—good luck trying to drop off scrap. It can take two or three hours just to get out of there. The Sadoff employees are union, so I guess that means they can afford to be slow, lazy, and rude. I’d go to Alter instead. Never had a bad experience there. ---
