Overview
Sandhills Pick N Pull - Fayetteville, NC
Sandhills Pick N Pull is a Fayetteville auto salvage yard where customers find and remove their own used car parts. The yard follows a self-service model—you locate the part, take it off the vehicle, and pay by weight. It’s a common spot for DIY mechanics, car owners, and restoration projects looking for affordable parts. The business has been around for years, with over 1,000 Google reviews averaging 4.2 stars, showing a mix of happy and unhappy customers.
How It Works & What to Expect
Sandhills Pick N Pull keeps things simple. You walk the lot, find the car with the part you need, and remove it yourself. The yard has basic tools on hand, but bringing your own makes the job easier. Once you’ve got the part, it’s weighed, and you pay by the pound. Some pre-pulled parts are also sold online, but the in-person selection is much larger.
What to Bring
A valid ID
Cash or a debit/credit card (some cards may have fees)
Your own tools (wrenches, sockets, pry bars, etc.)
Gloves and safety gear (the yard doesn’t provide these)
A way to haul parts (some are heavy or bulky)
Return Policy
If you take a part and it’s not what you needed, you can return it for a refund within 24–48 hours, as long as it’s undamaged. Damaged or missing parts won’t qualify. For details, check out their return policy video .
Parts Available
The yard carries parts from older domestic cars to newer foreign and domestic models. You’ll find engines, transmissions, body panels, interior pieces, and electrical components. The selection changes often as new cars come in and others are sold or scrapped. The online inventory gives a general idea of what’s there, but the in-person lot usually has more.
Selling a Junk Car?
Sandhills Pick N Pull doesn’t buy junk cars—it’s focused on parts. If you need to get rid of an old vehicle, try a local junk car buyer in Fayetteville for a quick sale.

Needed a driveshaft for my F150, so I called ahead to see if they had one. The guy on the phone didn’t even bother checking if it was in decent shape. Drove 30 minutes for nothing—turns out, every single one was bent from the forklift handling them. Waste of time and gas.

I got a call from Ms. Lashanda this morning, and honestly, it made my whole day better. She walked me through everything step by step—no rushing, no confusion—just clear, patient answers. By the end, I actually felt good about what was happening, which isn’t always the case with these kinds of calls. She stayed just as nice the whole time, even when I had to dig through my stuff to find the right papers. Seriously, if I ever see her in person, I’m giving her a hug. Hope she’s having a great day!

Prices here are ridiculous, and they won’t budge. Paid twice what I should’ve for a part that’s been sitting around for 20 years. If you’re looking for a deal, go somewhere else.

First time here, and I was impressed—the place is clean, the staff actually helps, and they’ve got parts for just about anything. Saw a 1949 Ford pickup parked next to a 2010 F150 in the same row, so you know they’ve got range. Prices were fair too. *But*—and this is a big but—since then, they’ve hiked everything up. What used to be $40 is now $60, and they nickel-and-dime you for every little extra. Not worth it anymore.

You can grab whatever part you need off the lot, no problem—just gotta be able to haul it yourself. They won’t let you drive in and use their hoist for engines or transmissions. If you need that kind of help, bring your own hoist or a couple friends to lift the heavy stuff. Not the most convenient, but at least they’re upfront about it.
