Overview

Sarabia Auto Parts And Auto Glass at 7421 S Loomis Blvd, Chicago, IL 60636

Sarabia Auto Parts And Auto Glass is a self-service auto salvage yard and auto glass shop at 7421 S Loomis Blvd in Chicago. They sell used auto parts from salvaged vehicles, letting customers find and remove parts on their own. The business also handles windshield and window replacements.

Services & What to Expect

Sarabia Auto Parts And Auto Glass is a self-service salvage yard where customers can browse, find, and remove parts themselves. The yard stocks used auto parts like engines, transmissions, body panels, interior components, and mechanical parts. They also offer auto glass services, including windshield and window replacements done on-site.

Self-Service Salvage Process

To use the self-service salvage area, follow these steps:

  1. Visit during business hours—Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The yard is closed weekends and holidays.
  2. Find the part you need. Vehicles are grouped by make and model, but there’s no official map, so know what you’re looking for before you go.
  3. Remove the part yourself. Tools may be available to rent or buy, but bring your own if you can. Some parts need disassembly, so basic mechanical skills help.
  4. Pay at the front counter. Pricing depends on the part’s condition and demand. There’s no fee just to look around.

Stay safe while in the yard. Wear gloves, closed-toe shoes, and eye protection—sharp metal and broken glass are common.

Auto Glass Services

Alongside the salvage yard, Sarabia Auto Parts And Auto Glass offers auto glass repairs and replacements, including:

  • Windshield replacement
  • Window glass replacement (driver, passenger, rear)
  • Glass repair for chips or cracks
  • Mobile glass services (if available—call to confirm)

Trained technicians handle the work. Appointments may be needed, depending on availability. Pricing varies by vehicle and glass type.

What to Bring

When you visit, bring:

  • A list of parts or glass you need, including vehicle make, model, and year.
  • Basic tools (wrenches, sockets, pry bars) if you plan to disassemble parts.
  • Safety gear like gloves and eye protection.
  • A vehicle to haul parts—some are heavy or bulky.
  • Cash or a debit/credit card (confirm payment methods ahead of time).

Not sure if a part is in stock? Call (773) 483-0999 to check.

Selling an Old Vehicle

If you have a junk car, truck, or SUV to get rid of, Sarabia Auto Parts And Auto Glass may buy it for scrap. They don’t advertise a cash-for-cars program, so call (773) 483-0999 to ask. Many salvage yards pay for scrap metal, so it’s worth checking.

Not many auto salvage yards left around here, so it’s good to know this one exists. They didn’t have the part I was looking for, but at least I found a backup option for next time. Better than nothing, I guess. ---

This place is a total joke. The guy who answered the phone was a complete jerk—snotty, impatient, and clearly didn’t want to be there. He swore up and down he had the part I needed, then it magically "wasn’t available" the next day. What’s the point of running a junkyard if you’re just gonna lie to customers and refuse to help? The guy’s got serious issues. Save yourself the hassle—don’t waste your time here. ---

The owner was straight-up rude—hang up on me before I could even tell him what I needed. Then I waited two hours for him to dig up a part, only for them to drop it and crack it right in front of me. Unbelievable. Wouldn’t go back if you paid me. ---

Sarabia, y’all really messed up. Took my friend to grab a used battery, and it died in a week. Then when I went back to fix it, the place was closed. Had to drag him to AutoZone just to get to work on time. Called at 12:23, and they hit me with *"Oh, we don’t honor warranties on used batteries."* What kind of scam is that? 90-day warranty my foot. Lost a customer for good—don’t expect me back. ---

The owner’s son answered the phone like he was doing me a favor. Every time I tried to explain what I needed, he talked over me, acting like I was wasting his time. Ended up pushing a $200 radiator on me when I just wanted a $35 fan. Turns out the "new" radiator had a leak—should’ve known when a few blades were already bent. They rushed me to pay, then had the nerve to imply I’d try to steal it. When I left my 15-year-old in the car to grab cash, the son *took my keys* and said he was holding them until I got back. No warning, no explanation—just some made-up rule. My kid was uncomfortable, I was furious, and neither of them could even look me in the eye about it. No receipt, no policy, just entitlement. I’m exchanging the radiator, but I’d demand a full refund if I could. Never setting foot in that place again—and the BBB’s getting an earful. Absolute disgrace.
