Honestly, the only gripe I’ve got is they lowball on brass—always trying to pass it off as yellow. But aside from that, they’re quick, fair, and don’t waste your time. Good enough for me. ---

Hands down the best scrap yard around. The people working there? Actually nice. Not the kind who rush you out or act like you’re wasting their time. They’ll help you figure it out. ---

First time bringing in scrap, and I had a whole farm’s worth of junk to unload. Didn’t know what to expect, but everyone there made it easy. No hassle, no attitude—just straight-up helpful. If you’re dumping metal, skip the Facebook posts and just go here. ---

Okay, so I showed up with a futon frame and a hammock frame, zero clue what I was doing. The sign on the scale told me where to stop, so I pressed the intercom button until it beeped—then just said, “Got scrap metal.” Next thing I knew, they told me where to unload, even helped me drag the futon out of my truck. After that, it was back to the scale, another beep, and then over to the office to hand in my slip. Whole thing took 15 minutes, start to finish. Oh, and I walked out with $8.50. Not bad for 15 minutes of work. Only downside? They close at 4, so don’t show up at 3:45 expecting a leisurely visit. ---

Sims Brothers scrap yard? Solid every time. The woman in the office is always polite—no eye-rolling, no sighing, just actual help. And the guy running the claw in the back? Dude clears your truck out in minutes. No waiting, no back-and-forth. Just show up, drop off your junk, get paid, and leave. That’s how it should work.
