The line moved fast, no waiting around. That’s about all I’ve got to say. ---

Look, if you show up with a small pickup full of metal thinking Sims in Redwood City will pay you for it, you’re out of luck—they don’t take small trucks anymore. They’ll happily take your scrap for free, though, after they turn you away. Real generous of them. The receptionist was nice enough, but the whole thing feels like a scam. I was in and out fast, but only because I didn’t have much choice. Wouldn’t bother unless you’re donating for free. ---

This place buys metal from businesses, not regular people. They take old cars and trucks, crush them into small pieces, and sell the scrap to other companies. That’s it. ---

Don’t even think about dropping off or picking up metal there unless you want your tires slashed. They’ve got some rule about changing tires themselves, but they won’t actually do it. Paid them to fix a flat, and after weeks of empty promises, I got nothing. Total waste of money. If you’re just there to drop off scrap, tell them to bring the load out to you—don’t step foot inside. They don’t care about anyone but themselves. ---

It’s a decent spot to recycle metal, but unloading 20 tons from an end dump is a pain. You’re looking at a 10- to 15-minute wait per truck. Other than that, it’s fine.
